After covering Katie Gallagher backstage at the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking district I had about 4 seconds to spare before walking at a maddening pace to catch the subway, so, obviously I had time to shop. I stopped at the Humble Chic pop-up shop across from the hotel. Short on time, I was glad to discover that this boutique of curated artisan pieces was available online. Humble Chic was started by Daniella Baider Berkson in 2011 as a way to “bridge the gap between expensive, luxury boutique brands and boring mass-market chains.”
Daniella and the rest of the Humble Chic team “scour the market of up-and-coming designers and manufacturers to find beautiful product at the most competitive price point. They buy limited quantities to ensure shoppers aren’t wearing the same item as the next person.” This is a concept I can get behind.
Visit the Humble Chic website and sign up for their emails and get $10 off your first purchase. The same offer is also available on their Facebook page.
I love finding cool boutiques with reasonably priced items. Oh, before I forget, there’s free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
Humble. Chic. Awesome! Happy Shopping.
