Summer is officially over and as we begrudgingly store our bathing suits and shelf the tanning oils, it is time to think about our skin and hair care for the Fall months ahead. When I think of Fall, I think moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Below are a few of my favorites for skin, hair and face.
St Ives Fresh Hydration Lotion Spray
Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE lotion. While I have combination skin, I tend to sweat more than the norm and hate that sticky heavy feeling of lotion on my skin. St Ives Lotion Spray is the best thing invented since slice bread. It’s a fast-drying non-greasy light mist moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling soft, silky and hydrated. While I know people prefer this spray lotion for summer, for me it is perfect for Fall because it provides enough moisture without feeling heavy on my skin.
Cantu Leave-in Conditioner Repair Cream
This deep-moisture leave-in conditioner is amazing. I recently did the big chop so I have been putting more heat than normal on my hair. With the excessive heat on my already fine and thin hair, it was just a matter of time before it became dry, brittle and started to seriously break. Panic set in because no woman (or man) wants to lose their hair! It’s our worst nightmare. I decided to try Cantu Leave-in Conditioner Repair Cream and after one week of using it and eliminating the curling iron, my hair looked and felt healthier. I use it as a daily treatment on my edges and let it air dry. I also saturating my hair with it overnight for deep moisture penetration before washing. With this product, no additional oil is needed — my hair is left shiny, silky and healthy.
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti Aging Daily Serum
Every woman over the age of 30 needs to use serum and moisturizer day and night. Prevage Anti Aging Daily Serum is a great serum to start using once you leave your early 3os. While this was my first anti-aging serum, it remains my go-to serum as it leaves my skin looking bright, fresh and feeling velvety soft. It helps to rebuild and maintain healthy glowing skin. It’s non-greasy so perfect all-year ’round. Before I started using this product, I was hesitant because my combination skin keeps me dry on the chin and oily on the forehead, so, naturally I was concerned about being overly-oily….nobody wants that. I took a chance with this serum and was amazed. I do not go to bed or leave the house without applying serum. I am constantly being asked about my skin care regimen and Prevage is at the top of my list! A bit pricey but worth every penny and works on all skin types.
