Trip to Morocco

Introducing, MoroccanOil.
I never thought I’d see the day when I would be singing the praises of a hair product with the word “oil” in it. Until now I have actually despised oil based products because of, well, the OIL. But honey, MoroccanOil has converted me! This product does not feel greasy at all. Shocked? I know!
I first heard about MoroccanOil a few months back but hesitated to give it a try, again because of the oil reference. Well over the last month I’ve been doing a lot of research on healthy hair treatments. I’ve learned a lot about various oils and how they can be beneficial to your hair as a pre-shampoo treatment (i.e avocado oil, coconut oil, etc). But that’s the front end of another post…and actually, possibly the front end of another blog. I’m thinking about a hair blog spin off that focuses soley on healthy hair practices. Ugh, I am such a big digress-er. So back To Moroccanoil…I am in LOVE/ LUST with this product.
I have been using MoroccanOil as a pre styling treatment before I roller set. I also have been using it post roller set, in the evenings, and sometimes in the morning. And folks, I gotta tell you – MoroccanOil has not weighed my hair down at all. I am amazed at how shiny and nourished my hair appears. I don’t know how MorrocanOil does it. This is yet another beauty product mystery I’m filing under the category of “don’t know how it works, but it works”. How can something blatantly called oil not make your hair feel oily??? Again, “don’t know how it works, but it works”. The folks at MoroccanOil explain their product as follows:
MOROCCANOILâ„¢ has the unique quality of instant absorption into hair, creating an instant shine without leaving an oily residue.
Moroccanoilâ„¢:

● Softens thick unmanageable hair.
● Restores shine and softness to dull lifeless hair. Strengthens brittle hair.
● Promotes healing and provides nourishment to hair damaged by coloring
and styling.
● Creates an optimal balance for the hair and scalp.
● Nourishes the scalp (alleviates itchy, dry scalp)
● Protects against UV damage and other environmental factors.
● Reduces drying time and speeds up styling time.

MOROCCANOILâ„¢ has a patented weightless formula with no build up.
MOROCCANOILâ„¢ is stored in an Amber Glass bottle to protect the oil from ultraviolet rays that cause oxidation and degradation.

More of my thoughts:
Yea, what they just said! I agree 100% with MoroccanOil’s assessment of their product.
I love the way my hair looks and feels after using this product. The smell is also quite intoxicating. Moroccan oil offers a full line of products. I have only l tried the oil, which retails for about $40 at selected retailers. I have seen this in Sally Beauty type store and Ricky’s NYC.
If your hair needs a little lift, try this!
