If you are a ThisThatBeauty fan then you will know that Felicia is known for her signature red lip and near flawless skin. The skin takes some work but you can get a red lip in a flash. While Felicia can put on a red lip in her sleep, I have kept away from it like the plague. That is until I came across The Lip Wand by Wanderlove.
I have this ultraconvenient, amazingly blendable and buildable 3-in-1 lip product in three shades from left to right – Rose, Berry and Pink. From top to bottom you see liner, lipstick and shimmer gloss.
The Lip Wand’s liner, lipstick and shimmer gloss are color matched to perfection. In an attempt to ease into red, I started with the Rose shade. Generally, I fear the red lip because my lips are…eh, um, full. Not like “Angelina Jolie full†but more like “Jay Z meets a fist†full.
Overall, The Lip Wand is great but it has one tiny flaw. The pieces don’t stay together very well. They sort of bounced around in my makeup bag. I had to make sure it was always in my makeup pouch, otherwise I’d find myself digging three separate pieces out of my bag.
The pigment on the lipstick is rich but it didn’t stain my lip to the point that I had to wear it all day. This is a big deal for me because I may leave the house in red and decide in the middle of my outing that I only want gloss. Guess what? Even if that happens, I wouldn’t need to leave the house with more than one lip product because The Lip Wand does it all.
