ThisThatBeauty Reviews: CoverFX Custom Infusion Drops

Great skin is everything…and I know that might sound a bit superficial, but my blog IS “ThisThatBeauty”. Here, we care about the beauty — and, IMHO, the foundation of great beauty is great skin (and of course true beauty comes from within, but this post isn’t about that. #MayIBeVainForAMoment #LetsBeDeepSomeOtherTime)

As a beauty editor, I’m constantly cocktailing and concocting. I open my medicine cabinet (which contains no actual medicine) and suddenly I feel all Mad Scientist-y. Over the years I’ve observed that my skin is constantly  changing…and as a result, my skin care needs to adjust and be nimble. And for this reason, I’m really stoked to share my thoughts on CoverFX Custom Infusion Drops, a collection of vitamin enriched concentrates, formulated to address four major areas of concern:
 Cover-FX-Custom-Infusion-Drops

Cover FX Custom Infusion DropsThe concept is simple. The drops are formulated to target specific skin care needs and work, seamlessly, in conjunction with your current treatment plan. That whole idea is to use Custom Infusion Drops as a booster to your current skin care routine as your skincare needs adjust. So, let’s break this down even further (and use my temperamental oily/ hormonal skin as an example):
My skin is mostly oily…with a side order of hormonal chin (sigh!). And when my skin gets worked up, I look to weekly calming masks to, well – calm things down. So here’s where I’d reach for E + Chamomile (Calming). Formulated to comfort and soothe “hyperactive skin” (I just made that term up…I think). Just a few drops added to my favorite hydration mask, and my skin immediately feels less inflamed (blame it on the Chamomile and its skin balancing properties).
I’m also never not focused on brighter, more luminous skin. Frankly, I won’t be satisfied until I achieve lightbulb status…hey, I like bright skin, what can I say. So having said that, C + Lemongrass (Radiance) is my second favorite infusion of the collection. When it comes to getting all bright and glowy, a little extra Vitamin C ain’t never hurt nobody. Again, just a few drops added to my hydration mask du jour and all of a sudden, BOOM, I’ve cocktailed my way to a super charged brightening mask. Tada!
The CoverFX Custom Infusion Drops collection is brand new, so haven’t had the opportunity to try all four, but of the two I’ve tried — I’m Team Yes and I highly recommend you get your hands on at least one or two formulations! Here’s a tip: Think about your winter skin and what you’ll need in the coming months…select one of the drops based on that. If you get dry in Winter (as most women do) consider F + Neroli (Hydration)
CoverFX Custom Infusion Drops retail at $48 each and can be found online here as well as Sephora.
