It’s Peachy – NYFW Beauty Trend to Love

The tornado that is New York Fashion Week has come to a close.   Come spring, many of us will be experimenting with the top styles of the week, like flowy, pajama-like pants, off the shoulder or midriff-bearing tops and stylish sneakers. But what NYFW-inspired beauty trend will you try?

Customarily, the spring shows are awash with flawless “no makeup” makeup looks and this NYFW was no different. But why invest time and money into recreating a no makeup face (which actually requires makeup), when you can get colorful with the monochromatic peachy looks we spied on the catwalks of BCBG Max Azria, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Derek Lam   & Narciso Rodriguez?   This fresh and light face, perfect for the spring, featured peach tones on the lips, cheeks and the eyes.   Pantone also called out peach as a top spring trend in their spring 2016 color report. What I love about peach is that because it’s a blend of cool pink and warm orange, it works on virtually all skin tones.

Want something a little bolder? Make a statement with a matte orangey-red lip from the catwalks of Jason Wu or Oscar de la Renta. Tip: the skin should be as flawless as possible and be sure to use little to no color on the cheeks or eyes.
