ThisThatBeauty Previews: TULA Probiotic Skincare

When I hear talk of probiotic, it’s more often than not related to digestive health.  Unless you’ve been living under rock (of sorts) you have probably seen Jamie Lee Curtis chatting up the health benefits of probiotics in your yogurt.  But can probiotics do for skin what it does for digestive health?  The makers of TULA  Probiotic Skincare are betting it can and will.

Launched in 2014 exclusively on QVC.com,  Tula is a line of skincare products  that use patented Probiotic Technology and nutritious ingredients to protect, revitalize and nourish the skin.  The line was co-founded by Dr. Roshini Raj, a gastroenterologist who “understands that inner harmony leads to outer beauty, and that feeling great on the outside can improve how we feel on the inside.” TULA products help to protect the skin from harmful bacteria with probiotics from  yogurt and milk extracts; nutripeptides from hydrolyzed rice; Vitamins A, C and E; antioxidants, including turmeric, white tea and blueberry extract; and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids from wild flax oil. TULA products  are not tested on animals and are free of  gluten, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, propylene glycol and petroleum.

Probiotic is essentially catching up not only for internal health but also for external health of an individual. I am sure there is a lot of scope in terms of probiotic skincare products. Looks like we are going a full circle.
