Every month, the ThisThatBeauty Girls share their favorite beauty products from the previous month. Today I share my top picks from February . . .
With the amount of products I test in a month, it seems an almost impossible feat to pick winners. However, I often find myself reaching for certain products over and over again and the decision is basically made for me. This month’s faves feature beauty products from every category – makeup, skincare and fragrance.
Lanvin Eclat D’Arpege Fragrance
- Why I love it: This light and crisp floral fragrance is the perfect way to welcome spring.
- Who it might work for and why: With notes of lemon leaves, wisteria flowers, red peony, musk and amber, this scent is perfect for someone who wants a fragrance that is both delicate yet sultry. Beginning with a more floral introduction and drying down to a powdery, musky finish, this scent wears beautifully and lasts all day.
- Bottom line: A great fragrance that can be worn year round.
Tammy Fender Clarifying Dermagel
- Why I love it: As someone with oily skin who suffers from regular breakouts, this product helps to calm and soothe my skin post breakout, while also preventing future ones.
- Who it might work for and why: Anyone looking to take a more organic and holistic approach to skincare, this healing antiseptic helps to clear and correct the complexion. Designed to accelerate the healing of acne and reduce overactive sebum, this will help to remove any blemish causing bacteria while still keeping the skin hydrated and soothed.
- Bottom line: Though I pride myself on taking great care of my skin, it is not until I tried a product with this many benefits to see how much better my skin could be. Used morning and night, this product has a slight mattifying effect on the skin and worked seamlessly with the other items in my skincare regimen. My blemishes healed faster and any residual redness instantly disappered.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara
- Why I love it: Super long, feathery and flirty lashes is one stroke.
- Who it might work for and why: Frankly, anyone who loves mascara (isn’t that everyone????). But this formula is slightly more delicate and not as dramatic so it would be perfect for a day look, or someone who wants a more feminine look without the risk of clumping.
- Bottom line: Little to no clumping, smudging or flaking, this mascara is a great pick for every day wear.
