Flushed, rosy cheeks — we all want it, but can we all wear it? Of course we can! In this edition of ThisThatBeauty Wears, we will show you how all three of us rock a bright pink cheek. So many women gravitate towards blushes with more brown or “neutral” undertones — afraid of how something a bit more daring may look, but after this post hopefully you will feel better about branching out into the realm of pink blushes. See how each of us wears our favorite pink blush and get a little inspiration to find your Bright Pink Cheek!

Tarte Amazonian 12-Hour Blush in Dollface is one of my go-to shades when I want to achieve that bright, flushed look in my cheeks – seen here with a subtle smoky eye and peachy-pink lip. Often the misconception is that when wearing pink blush, you must then match it to your lips, which could not be further from the truth. The Tarte Amazonian 12-Hour Blush in Dollface is quite blue-toned in the pan, but when applied it warms up my face and blends beautifully with brown and peach shades. On the flip side however, I often reach for this color when wearing cooler shades on my eyes (grays and blues) and lips (pinks) and find that it wears just as well. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Dollface is available at Sephora for $26.00.

For years the only thing I wore on my cheeks was bronzer – what a coward I was. As I’m getting older and accepting that my face is perfect just the way it is, I’m getting a bit more adventorous with my makeup.
While I am a fan of Tarte Amazonian Clay in Dollface my favorite pink blush is Kevyn Aucoin Beauty The Pure Powder Glow in Myracle. The image below doesn’t event do it justice. It is bright hot pink and gives a great flush with just one quick wash with a blush or fan brush. I usually go for a bright pink cheek when I’m short on time and not able to do a full face. The right blush can wake up your entire face in a matter of seconds. If I can do pink, you can do pink. Go for it! Kevyn Aucoin Beauty The Pure Powder Glow in Myracle is available at fine departments stores and retials for $37.
I hate to pull a “me, too” and follow up Maree’s pick with Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush…but, yeah — me, too. It’s that good!
I have been a fan of Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Amused for years. It’s a really delicate shade of pink that’s perfectly suited for brown skin. Don’t let the intense pigment in the compact fool you…the shade is subtle and totally natural. When applied with a light hand and a natural haired fan brush, the finish is quite angelic and healthful. Girls, add this one to your must-buy list. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Amused is available at Sephora for $26.00.
