I have not seriously worked out in over a year. However, if you’ve read any our TTBFitLife posts you know that I truly enjoy working out because it makes me feel GREAT. While I pretty much gave up vigorous workouts while pregnant, I kept up my daily two mile strolls just to keep circulation flowing and maintain some muscle tone. Looking good is the end game for many but for me — I only look as good as I feel. And when I’m not working out, I simply do not feel my best. So, when I was presented with the opportunity to test out Nike Zoom Vomero 9 I was all for it. It was truly time to get back in gear…literally and figuratively.
Before actually working out in Nike Zoom Vomero 9, I wore them for walks to the park and for local errands. The first thing that I immediately noticed was the lightweight feel. In fact, they felt so lightweight that I questioned the support system of the shoe — like, “how can a sneaker this light actually support and endure vigorous pounding?” Hmm…
As the days progressed I began running in Nike Zoom Vomero 9, and again, the lightweight feel stood out. My feet felt supported yet not weighed down. The heel support is also worth mentioning, as I feel like my heels are starting to fail me in life. When I start my runs I can feel Nike Zoom Vomero 9 adjusting and by the time I’m about an eighth of a mile in, my bad heels feel thoroughly supported and good to go for a cool 2-4 mile run.
All in all Nike Zoom Vomero 9 meets my current fitness needs. It’s a good shoe for getting back into the swing of things. It’s perfect for short runs, power walks and strength training type workouts (squats, kicks, lunges, jumping jacks, etc.). Now if you’re a hardcore runner who is doing 8-10 mile runs 5 days a week, you might want to check out some of the more advanced options. There’s more than enough to satisfy every fitness level.
