When I inspected the ingredient list for Decleor’s 100% natural Neroli Essential Night Balm and saw that it was made of oils and waxes, I thought the balm would make my skin a little too greasy, even for bedtime. Surprisingly, I was wrong. The night balm is basically an evening moisturizer, without the water. Who wants to pay for water? I have oily skin and this balm didn’t make me any greasier than I would have been had I used a water based product. In fact, it was lighter on my face than some water based night creams that I have used.
I love the scent of this balm but the scent of neroli may be a bit much for those with a sensitive nose. Even so, it is worth a try. According to the manufacturer, the basil essential oil purifies and rebalances the skin and the neroli, chamomile, tanka bean resinoids essential oils, avocado and hazelnut plant oils, soften and brighten the skin. The balm left my face moisturized and I look refreshed in the morning. I suggest you apply it at first to clean dry face, then try applying it while your face is wet. I like the wet application better, but that’s just me. The balm retails for $65 and is available here.
