ThisThatBeauty Pops Lip: Lip Colour du Jour

Hey Baby Cakes –

So you’re  all  familiar  with my regular series,  ThisThatBeauty  Nails It: Colour of the Week”, right?
(*heads nodding*)

Well for those of you who are new to ThisThatBeauty:
1) Welcome – Stay a while!
2) “ThisThatBeauty Nails It: Colour of the Week” is a regular series where I report on my nail colour of the week. I experiment with a little bit of everything. (Click  HERE  and  HERE  andHERE  and  HERE  and  HERE  for a sampling of past nail colour looks)
So in  taking  a  page from  that  book, I am  adding  a new series  titled  “ThisThatBeauty  Pops Lip: Lip Colour  du  Jour”. In this series I’ll be showcasing noteworthy lip colours of the day. The colours  will consist of new  releases, trend inspiration,  and oldies but  goodies (I love  digging  in the crates and dusting off an old gem).

To kick off the first  installment  of “ThisThatBeauty  Pops Lip”, I’m going to go with a lip colour from the much hyped (and maybe even “over”hyped) MAC Hello Kitty collection.
I am choosing to showcase Fresh Brew because this beautifully muted color is pretty  much the exact opposite  of what comes to mind when you think of Hello Kitty. So in the  spirit  of going off the beaten path, I give you Fresh Brew.
Thoughts? We like? No like?
Does this new series excite you?…Or am I the only one  geeking out over “ThisThatBeauty  Pops Lip”? Leave a comment. You I love  hearing  from you 🙂

@undressingHER – Thanks for the compliment. My husband feels the same way about makeup. No man likes a face full. I’ll try to keep up the good work 🙂

Hi Felicia! Craziest thing, Last time I saw you at the salon I wanted to ask about your skin regime and next day I bumped into this! I love this look on you. Your skin looks great and I’m adding the Fresh Brew to my lip collection! Congrats on this Fab site! love it!:)

as a young black man who absolutely HATES make up, I must say you have done a nice job of not completely caking POUNDS of it on to the point it no longer even looks like you. Keep up the good work.

  • Oh, this is a great series!

Lips and foundation are my two weak spots. I have a few HG lipsticks but the foundation is a flighty unicorn.

  • gosh, it is a super nude color…i don’t know, it’s like barely there, almost like lip balm, lol…IMO anyways! ur skin is siiick!!! care to share ur regimen/ products???

  • Milan Angel says:

Love this new series! And Fresh Brew is one of my all-time favorite lippies. Its my go to nude when I don’t want to have to fuss with liner, nude lippie and a gloss combo. It really achieves that great look without all the extras. 😉
