Finally a return to one of the biggest trends of my early makeup wearing years…orange! Back in the day, I swear you couldn’t tell me nothing. I boldly rocked semi matte orange lips and never once apologized. The return of this trend for Spring is ushered in in a refined and wearable fashion. Bobbi Brown, YSL, The Body Shop, Lancome, and Chantecaille are all taking me back…waay back! Who’s going down memory lane with me?

Spring Trendspotting: Orange ya glad?
It’s funny that it just caught on I have been sporting my orange puckers since last spring!
I was introduced to orange while searching for red. A Bobbi Brown makeup artist suggested that I try orange instead of red, she said that she used orange because it looked good on her olive skin. I have been wearing Bobbi Brown’s Orange lipstick topped with my OCC traffic safety orange for an EXTRA POP! The results are intensely breathtaking…getting goosebumps just talking about it!

my favs are the lancome pallete featured and occ lip tar. i’m all about a soft matte orange lip!

One of my favorite looks (besides purple eyeshadow) is orange/coral lips. I won’t embarrass myself by telling you how many lip glosses and lipsticks I have in those shades (and I’m not talking about what’s in my makeup artist kit). Glad to see that it was a major beauty trend on the runway for 2010. Looking forward to rockin’ it proudly in the coming months. Thanks for keeping the masses in the know!
