Spring Trendspotting: Givenchy

New Impressions from Givenchy demonstrates a visit back to the roots of creation as Nicolas Degennes takes inspiration from the possibilities of a blank page.

Soft and airy, Givenchy’s spring make-up collection is influenced by coloured inks and stains on white paper. The skin is pale and flawless, with a luminous glow that reflects a perfect canvas effect while splashes of colour arrive on the eyes, lips and cheeks.

Bursts of lilac are key, with lashings of shocking purple mascara and metallic indigo nail varnish brightening up the look against pale rose lips and eye-popping pink cheekbones. Otherwise, skin remains translucent in creamy vanilla and delicate beige tones.

  • Le Prisme Blush: A powder blusher with four colours contained in sliding compacts. Two soft, luminous palettes of pink and organgey shades borrowed from the new range of blushes. Degennes has created six new Prisme Blush harmonies. Avaliable in Inspiration Rose, Vintage Pink, Aficionado Peach, It-girl Purple, In Vogue Orange and Fashionista Brown
  • Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extension: A new limited-edition violet shade in Purple Impression
  • Parad’Eyes Liner: New liquid eyeliner in Mauve Impression, a mauve with white and pink pearlescent particles and Nude Impression, a nude shade with golden and white particles
  • Printed Lips: Tinted-look lipstains comes in a black marker pen application. Available in Pink Impression, a pale pink and Rose Impression, a luscious pink
  • Pop Gloss Crystal: Comes in Coral Impression
  • Gloss Interdit: Comes in Magenta Impression
  • Rouge Interdit: Comes in Rose Impression and housed in a limited-edition case decorated with vibrant traces of paint
  • Rouge Interdit Shine: Comes in Coral Impression and is contained in a decorated case
  • Vernis Please!: One new nail colour in Purple Impression
