So many reviews…so few faces for product testing! Oy vey, the trials and tribulations of a Beauty Blogger.
I’ve been dying to test and review two new Smashbox products but with back to back makeup gigs, The Makeup Show, various writing gigs, and that crazy thing we call LIFE…well, I have not managed to find the time.
What’s a busy beauty blogging gal to do?
[DING DONG]
Is that the imaginary ThisThatBeauty doorbell? Hmmm, I better go answer.
TTB: Who’s there?Chrissy: It’s Chrissy!TTB: Oh hi Chrissy. Boy did you show up just in the nick of time.Chrissy: Really? Is there something that I can help you with?TTB: *evil grin* Why yes, Chrissy. There’s absolutely something that I could use your help with *hee hee hee*
So without further ado, behold – Chrissy’s review (with pics):
Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder and High Definition Concealer (both in “light” and available at Sephora)
THE REVIEW:I did not have to use a lot of the Smashbox High Definition Concealer to get great coverage. In fact, I ended up spreading what I would normally use on one eye to do both eyes. I gently dabbed the concealer into my eye socket and it immediately brightened up my eyes. I finished my face off with the Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder. I love the powder for so many reasons!1) The coverage — It is buildable. Since I have a lot of freckles to cover I need to apply two layers to get the desired coverage.2) The finish — Halo gives me a soft, natural look…no matter how much I apply.3) The packaging — I love the “turn to get what I want” function. I can turn the compact disc slightly to get enough powder for one application. This allows me to control how much I use and I don’t feel like I am wasting powder or getting too much on my brush.

Thanks Chrissy!

Looks good!
My question, though, is what does Chrissy use to define her eyebrows? They look thicker in the "after" picture, yet extremely natural.
