Pulse, Summer Edition is said to be inspired by the songstress’s positive energy. The fragrance is light and starts out with a citrusy burst that quickly turns a bit sweeter, finishing with a slightly musky, powdery dry down.
There is something about this combination of fragrant notes that reminds me a bit of the 1980‘s. This isn’t helped by the fact that the pink and blue/turquoise used in the packaging is reminiscent of 1980’s leotards. The bottle is inspired by Beyonce’s onstage costumes and will surely standout on your vanity.
Pulse, Summer Edition is uncomplicated. It is the kind of fragrance you might wear to the beach, the park or on a summer outdoors lunch first date. When you first spray it, give it a few moments on your skin and it will quickly change. After wearing this fragrance for four hours, It was still noticeable but different from that first citrusy burst.
To give this a different perspective, I had my boyfriend give this a whiff without saying anything about anything, his response, “it smells like vacation, it reminds me of summer.†Of note to me is that he said nothing about sexy and playful…but that is another conversation 🙂
Pulse, Summer Edition is a limited-edition and will be available at select perfumery chains and department stores. The 50 ML has a suggested retail price of $49 and the 100 ML will retail for $59.
