Cue the applause track!!…It’s time for another #TheGifter Mission: Outgift For Under $20
I honestly thought that the previous week’s mission (Outgift The Party) was going to be my favorite… I mean, I’m a party girl. I go to lots of parties, I throw lots of parties and I love gifts for parties. However, this week’s mission, Outgift For Under $20, has turned out to be my favorite so far. And Marshalls is making it especially easy with no shortage of high quality, designer and eclectic finds.
The current mission, Outgift For Under $20, really hits home… Or shall I say “hits my walletâ€:) We’re all faced with the same dilemma — we want to show gratitude at the holidays, but we’re challenged in finding gifts to fit our modest budget. I am finding that this week’s mission works best for gifting for casual relationships. You know — Your neighbor who signs for your packages. The receptionist who always gives you a heads up when your packages arrive in the office. The shampoo girl who always gives you a nice scalp massage. You want to give something nice, but you don’t want to dip into your rainy day fund to make it happen.
Shopping this week’s mission at Marshalls is a ton fun and pretty much a breeze… I started out with a strategy on how I wanted to shop but Marshalls is making shopping even easier with the layout of the store.
Gifts Under $20 Sections: Yes. There are actual sections throughout the store labeled “Under $20”. It seriously doesn’t get much easier than that.
That Little Impulse Buy Section While You’re On Line To Pay: This section is practically ‘The Land Of Under $20 Finds’. You’ll find an eclectic hodgepodge of designer stocking stuffers.
Electronic Accessories: I couldn’t believe the amount of name brand iPhone cases and iPad covers…. all ranging from 40-60% off department store prices. I spotted one high-end designer iPad case for $14.99 (from an original price of $49.99).
Gourmet Food Section: This section is jam packed (pun intended — so many savory jams!) with gourmet products from all over world. I spied lots of yummy treats from Italy and Spain.
All of these sections are perfect for under $20 shopping. Not only are they filled with lots of incredible designer buys, here’s something I’ve noticed from shopping my missions — the selection changes very frequently, offering more new and exciting buys every week. Each week I’ve noticed a steady rotation of fresh items…the selection seems to one-up the previous week every week!
Part of my strategy for tackling this week’s mission is to create experience gifts and couple items to help stretch the $20 budget. And honestly, the selection at Marshalls is making this mission a breeze….there are sooo many high quality, high value gifts in store for under $20. I think I’ll outdo myself this week.
Assorted Infused Olive Oils: This one is for the gourmand on your holiday list. At less than $4 per olive oil, you’ll still have money left over to maybe also include a nice loaf of crusty French bread.
Collection of Journals: I spotted these journals for under $6 each. So you’re able to give a really fun collection. Give one journal that’s travel themed, one journal that’s aspirations themed and another journal that’s just for daily thoughts.
A Humorous Flask: This under $20 find is hilarious and fun choice for the wine lovers on your holiday list.
Fancy Soaps: Priced at under $4 per soap, you’re able to pull together a really lovely assortment for the recipient.
Chic Wine Decanter: Paired with a nice bottle of red blend, this wine decanter makes an excellent gift under $20. The decanter is priced less than $10… So that leaves room in your budget for nice bottle of wine.
