NARSskin

Do you know that NARS has a skin care line?
Yah, they do!

I first stumbled upon NARSskin about six months ago but didn’t stop to try it out. Recently when at the NARS counter trying out their awesome lip pencils, I took the opportunity to learn about NARSskin. So here’s the scoop:

Believing that “great skin is the first step in looking beautiful,” François Nars created a skincare regime to mirror this sentiment. With a directive to utilize the natural elements with which we feed our bodies to nourish our skin (water, vitamins, minerals and botanicals), NARSskin was born. Offering women a collection of products delivering the benefits of nature and utilizing exclusive technology, NARSskin is formulated to purify, hydrate, revitalize and soothe the skin to provide a luminous, healthy appearance. Delivering results in an edited regime, NARSskin maintains and enhances the appearance of the skin today in preparation for the future.

I am in complete agreement with Francois Nars. Lord knows I love me some makeup, but great skin is the FIRST STEP! Otherwise makeup is not as much fun because the application of product becomes a routine of covering up this or hiding that…versus a pleasurable experience of highlighting this and accentuating that 🙂

So having said that, I’d like to hip you to an awesome mask I’ve been using for a few weeks and absolutely love!

BEHOLD – NARSskin mud mask
GREAT MASK ALERT!!!

Honestly, this mask had me at “mud”. I have extremely oily skin so masks containing mud or clay typically agree with my skin. Here’s how NARSskin explains the efficacy of their mask:
A deep-cleaning mask utilizing natural botanicals, minerals and exclusive technology to energize, moisturize and clarify the skin. Formulated with Active Phytoseed Complex, seaweed and Masada Mud from the Dead Sea, this multi-tasking mask helps purify and refresh the skin for a healthy, luminous complexion.
And here I am giving myself a little mask treatment. The consistency of this mask kicks butt. Its super smooth and you can feel it perpetrating deeply.

At $45 a pop, this definitely isn’t cheap. The mask comes in a 3.6 oz jar…which should go a long way. If you’re looking for an upgrade on your Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque (which I think is fabulous) try NARSskin mud mask.
