#GetYourStyleFix with ThisThatBeauty and Walgreens

Just because it’s finally fall, there’s no rule that says you need to say bye-bye to beachy waves. In fact, fall is the perfect time to up your beachy waves game and shift your look from loose & carefree to chic & polished. In search of a little style inspo, I visited Walgreens.com/GetYourStyleFix and perused their hair tutorials. Through these tutorials you can learn to amp up your texture, perfect your curl, boost your shine, and rock some amazing volume!

One tutorial in particular, Get Your Texture Fix, inspired me to give it a go. Even though my hair texture is totally different from the model’s hair in the video (her hair is fine, mine is super coarse), I was able to use the same products, tweak my technique just a bit, and achieve very similar results. So read on as I share my step by step tutorial for creating sleek beachy waves for fall, using TRESemmÃ©, Dove and Nexxus products that I picked up at my local Walgreens.

TRESemmÃ© ® Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner

Always start with hair that’s clean and well conditioned. For this look, I used TRESemmÃ© ® Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. Both products feel really nourishing and give my hair lots of body. Next, I did a rough blow dry to get my hair straight.

Nexxus ® Diametress Lavish Body Gel Spray

To create smooth, perfectly polished waves, I applied Nexxus ® Diametress Lavish Body Gel Spray and began braiding about 6 cornrows all around my head.

For loose waves, make bigger cornrows and for tight waves, make smaller cornrows. Allow hair to air dry overnight. A hooded hair dryer also works. To reveal shiny, sleek waves, I unravelled my braids. From here, give your braids a good tousle with your hands or a hair pick (my hair required an afro pick).

Nexxus ® Comb Thru Touchable Hold Finishing Mist

I locked in my look with Nexxus ® Comb Thru Touchable Hold Finishing Mist. It adds mega hold without the crunch. My waves are set in place but still soft and totally touchable.

Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo

For day three of this look (or sooner/later in the week depending on your hair type) I sprayed Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo at the roots to revive my look, absorb oil and add a boost of volume.

Beachy waves have never look so chic. Am I right?!!
