I love nothing more than beauty for a cause, so, I was very excited to learn that Kiehl’s recently revealed its holiday project for 2012. This year Kiehl’s partners with New York Pop artist Kenny Scharf, for the 4th Annual Limited Edition Creme de Corps Holiday Collection. This partnership follows the tradition of pairing a children’s charity, a contemporary artist, and Kiehl’s classic Creme de Corps for a limited edition product where 100% of Kiehl’s worldwide net profits, up to $200,000, will support children’s charities worldwide. Past collaborations saw Kiehl’s working with Brian Donnelly and Jeff Koons to transform the packaging of Creme de Corps for charity.
In the United States this year 100% of net profits will support RxArt. “RxArt is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing original fine art in patient, procedure and examination rooms of healthcare facilities.” Their “mission is to improve otherwise sterile environments through contemporary art, promote healing, and inspire hope in patients, families and staff.”
In addition to getting superior hydration for your skin, this collaboration will offer Kenny Scharf artwork, Globo Mundo, described by the artist as “representing the whole world or globe,” featured on labels for three sizes of Creme de Corps, and one size of our Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter. You will also own a part of Kiehl’s history as this collection marks the debut of the first-ever fully-wrapped Kiehl’s product—the 16.8 oz Creme de Corps.
Looking at Kenny Scharf’s work you may notice an emotive represented in some of his pieces, “Squirt.” “Squirt†for Kiehl’s is a character with two different expressions, one on either side. Each “Squirt†is individually numbered and includes a signed certificate of authenticity. Kiehl’s customers can own the Limited Edition Kenny Scharf Exclusive “Squirt†Collectible.
With this Kenny Scharf Kiehl’s collaboration you get beauty, art and you support a great cause – few things are this simple.
