JIMMY CHOO ILLICIT — The name had me braced for a hot and spicy (fragrance) romp. I mean, because ‘ILLICIT’. Not one to shy away from bold scents, the forward-sounding name actually drew me in because I love audacious scents.
90% of my beauty routine – I do for myself. Meaning, skin care, makeup, hair care…it’s all for me. But fragrance, [confession] that’s something I do for others. I wear fragrance to be noticed. If no one notices my scent, in the trash it goes. SPOILER ALERT: JIMMY CHOO ILLICIT will not be going in the trash.
It’s so funny how your taste in fragrance can evolve over time. As a young girl, I always favored fresh, bright scents. And while I still dabble in a sparkly, bright perfume every now and again, my signature scent composition tends to lean toward notes that are rich, dark, smoldering…and maybe just a bit, ‘illicit‘.

2) You’re a girl who’s coming out of your ‘girly’ phase and you’re ready to move on up to a more defining scent…one that makes a very womanly statement, but you’re not trying to be all look-at-me-I’m-so-evolved-now. You want something more sophisticated, but you’re leery of committing to a super serious scent situation that you might later regret.
Girls in both categories will enjoy ILLICIT because the warm floriental has just enough edge to feel special, but not so much edge that it feels like you’re trying too hard or overdoing it.
