If my picky boyfriend likes a certain perfume I’m wearing, it must be amazing — well, he fell in love with these. I recently sampled Britney Spears Fantasy as well as One Direction’s You and I. I have always been a HUGE Britney enthusiast, so of course I had to test her perfume first.
Britney Spears – Fantasy
Fantasy combines many different notes that make a fun and youthful fragrance. It’s sweet and fruity scent make it the perfect perfume to wear while on a date, or a night out with girlfriends. The perfume’s fragrance notes include: lychee, quince, fresh kiwi, cupcake accord, jasmine petals, white chocolate orchid, smooth musk, orrisroot and mystical woods. The ï¬nish of powdery, gingery, musk lingers on my skin all day and keeps me feeling fresh. Available at Kohl’s: $37.50 – $57.50.
One Direction – You & I
Named after one of their hit songs, “You & Iâ€, the pop-group juggernaut, One Direction, has added a new fragrance to their arsenal. You & I has a bright, floral scent that is fresh and uplifting and offers notes of mango and grapefruit combined with a heart of creamy osmanthus, exotic orchid and soft peony. The perfume is contained in a sophisticated angled glass bottle with lilac overlay that is as delicate as its scent. It also comes with an added bonus!
The bottle comes with a detachable charm for fans to treasure long after the perfume is gone. Available at Macy’s: $59.50
Super weird? – I just purchased Britney Spears Fantasy after forsaking my old alternative attitude (aka I don’t conform to mainstream conventional purchases teenage mindset) because it smelled so good – very sweet and musky. I just wished that I had ditched my snobbery towards celebrity perfumes earlier because this scent is so yummy! It’s definitely one that surprises and appeals to a wide audience. Kudos to Britney and those behind the perfume – a job well done. With that said I simply can’t see myself purchasing One Direction (shivers) the old snob in me won’t even let me sniff it … maybe in 10 years I’ll think differently … although the mango and grapefruit combo does sound interesting … 🙂
