It’s finally really starting to feel like fall. Over the knee boots and leather bombers are out and we’ve pulled out slightly bigger handbags as we prepare to tote around just a few more seasonal essentials. But what exactly are we packing? Below Felicia and I share our handbags staples for the fall.

I’m not sure how I became a gloss girl, but here we are. Lately, a glossy lip makes me so happy. I feel like it’s a very conscious life choice. I want to be cute, but I don’t have the bandwidth for lots of maintenance. A slick, shiny lip is easy to maintain, especially compared to a statement-making matte that requires major upkeep to stay perfect. If my gloss wears off with my coffee, I can re-apply, on-the-go, without a mirror, lip liner or high level of skill. Just swipe side to side and muah!…
COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Lip Oil
My current glossy combo is COVERGIRL Vitalist Healthy Elixir Lip Oil in Grape Juice with a layer of Buxom Holographic Full-On Plumping Lip Polish in Crystal. The look is fresh, voluminous and of course — poppin! (target.com, $6.99)

In “I’m Trying To Not Look Tired” news — I’m currently pledging my allegiance to two very important products — Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit and URBAN DECAY 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in LSD. Listen!
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit
My eyes are wide awake and unstoppable when I pull these two lifesavers out of my bag of tricks. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit (Sephora.com, $38) hides the fact that I haven’t slept (well) in 5 years while the deep blue with a turquoise sparkle of LSD (Sephora.com, $21) fakes clear eyeballs. I love how jewel tones complement brown eyes. This has been my go to “wake me up” liner for years!
URBAN DECAY 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil
Being on-the-go is no excuse for eating poorly. This is what I tell myself, and tell myself and tell myself — so you see where this is going? It’s a real struggle! Which is why I always keep Owyn plant-based protein bars in my bag. Over the last few weeks, they’ve saved me from countless bad decisions. You know, like when you’re in your car, starving and the quickest meal options are typically the least healthy (hello: White Castle). And while Owyn protein bars are not meal replacement bars, they definitely hold me over and address my hunger before I reach “hangry” status and regret my poor food choice. And if I am basically narrating your life, give Owyn a try and use code ThisThatBeauty20 to save 20%. (liveowyn.com, $28 — pack of 12)

Panier Des Sens Hand Cream
One of my most pressing concerns when the temperature drop is dry hands and cuticles. This hand cream is made with 20% shea butter and has a rich texture that feels super nourishing. While it does an excellent job of moisturizing hands it doesn’t feel heavy. It leaves skin feeling supple and smelling amazing. (Amazon.com, $13)
By Terry, Baume de Rose Lip Care
By Terry, Baume de Rose Lip Care is one of my favorite lip care products. With lips that magnify everything, I can’t afford chaps. This castor oil-based balm contains rose flower wax, shea butter, vitamin E, and other ingredients to help soothe and moisturizer lips and protect against the harsh environmental elements. It can also be massaged it to dry cuticles. (Dermstore.com, $60)
The Perfect V Beauty Sheet
The Perfect V Beauty Sheet is made for the delicate skin of the Vaginal area (the bikini line and the visible triangle area) only. During fall I try to dress in light layers but sometimes despite my best efforts I find myself sweating more than usual in the middle of the day. The Beauty Sheets are a quick way to refresh without taking a shower. While they are meant for the V area I use on my underarms as well. They are also great after the gym when I know I’ll run a few errands before heading home. (neimanmarcus.com, $24)
Flesh Fleshy Lips Lipstick
Flesh Beauty lipstick in Chew is one of my almost perfect nudes. It’s a hydrating lipstick that glides on without a hitch depositing just enough pigment and shine to leave me looking like I tried. (Ulta.com, $18)
Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle
My go-to vampy lip this season is Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle in shade Griselda. It is a bold burgundy shade that goes on creamy and is long lasting without feeling like I’m wearing a coat on my lips. This is perfect for that evening lip switch when friends want to meet for impromptu cocktails. It allows me to look like I’m doing the most when in reality I’m actually not doing that much. (Sephora.com, $18)
Great list of essential beauty products.
