Step 1 – Prep
Achieving old Hollywood hair relies on creating texture while preventing flyaways and frizz. Start by evenly applying 10 drops of Frizz-Ease ® Sheer SolutionTM Lightweight Frizz Control ($9.99 at drugstores) from the roots to the ends on damp hair. Next apply a handful of Frizz-Ease ® Curl Reviver Styling Mousse ($5.99 at drugstores) and comb through hair to uniformly distribute.
Step 2 – Style
Find a good deep side part. Veronica Lake always had a strong side part which is what made her look so sexy. Start with curling the section right above your ear. Use a 1″ barrel curling iron and in small sections wrap hair forward around the barrel towards your face. Continue one curl after the other in the exact same pattern until the whole head is complete. After everything cools, take the fine side of your comb and start combing through the curls. As you comb around the entire head, the curl pattern will start to join together – break up the pattern with your fingers to create natural flowing waves.
Step 3 – Perfect
To finish, mist a thin coat of Frizz-Ease ® Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hair Spray ($5.99 at drugstores) in an even, all-around motion, to set the look.
