Ted Gibson describes this looks as “perfect for the girl who hasn’t had a shampoo in a couple of days and wants to do something other than a ponytail or a braid.” I’m a huge fan of protective styling as well as styles that extend the life of my blowout, so this effortless ‘do immediately spoke to my soul. I also find slightly messy, slightly slept-in texture to be quite downtown-cool…a vibe I wish I could master 24/7. To create the look, Ted roughed up the texture, backcombed for volume, twisted and secured the sides, then finished with pulled out pieces of hair for added “woke up like this” effect.

l’m new to Viviscal ® (I’ve just started taking the mega hair growth tablets) so I’m excited to see how my hair improves over the next 90 days. I do lots of external things to keep my hair in good health (i.e. protective styling, minimal direct heat, frequent trims, etc.) but focussing on the ‘internal’ aspect of hair health might be the missing link in my quest for healthier hair.
