Fridays with Felicia: An intimate look behind the curtain as I share my favorite style/ beauty discoveries and ThisThatBeauty shenanigans from previous week.

When Nine West Creative Director, Fred Allard, recently dished on key trends and must-have footwear styles for Fall 2010, naturally I was front and center with a pen and pad…taking copious notes for myThisThatBeauty readers!
It’s been years since I have worn Nine West, so last Saturday’s “Fall into Temptation” event at Nordstrom with Nine West and Elle magazine was the perfect opportunity to get reacquainted.
Fred alongside Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr, founders on the online fashion magazine WhoWhatWear.com, shared styling tips and their top shoe trends to watch!
Top trends for Fall 2010:
1) Utility – THINK: Military inspiration
Try the juxtaposition of hard and soft by mixing a rugged utility boot with feminine textures like lace, sequins, or fall florals.
I’m a bit of a “Utility” girl. Here I am wearing my fave pair…
2) Lacing – THINK: Menswear inspiration
The lace-up boots is a great way to add visual interest to a minimalist outfit.
3) Ladylike – THINK: 50’s secretary chic
Blame it on Mad Men. This style of shoe works well with high-waisted skirts and soft blouses. A skinny pant also flatters this shoe style.
If you haven’t checked in on Nine West in a while, consider this a gentle prodding. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
Have a great weekend..xoxo
I love the ladylike heels!

@Adriana – You are hilarious! Lil PP leaves tomorrow…get out the Kleenex!
WoW – I really like those two in the Nine West Lady Like Collection. They have such a high end look to them.
@Gigi. I agree. Go NW!
