It obvious that I loooooove makeup, right?
Everyday we gather at our favorite meeting place (ThisThatBeauty) and chit-chat like 13-year olds at sleep-away camp. And I absolutely love it!
In addition to my fashion and beauty writing for ThisThatBeauty, I’m also a freelance makeup artist and do lots of one-on-one and group makeup lessons for everyday women. EVERY single time I do a makeup lesson, without fail, there is one area where women consistently slack off:
MAKEUP BRUSHES
I swear, if I had a nickel for every woman I come across with awesome makeup and crappy makeup brushes, I’d have enough Euros to chill-lax full time in a Tuscan villa in the tiny town of Chiusi, Italy.

In my profession I come across women with makeup bags filled to the brim with all sorts of expensive makeup, but yet they apply the product with their fingers. Or even worse…cheap, dirty brushes! Â
When doing makeup lessons, I use my clients own makeup to apply and help guide them. They are often amazed with the results I achieve, despite the fact that I am using the EXACT same product that they use. They fail to understand why the results differ so greatly.
NEWSFLASH – Its your brushes, boo 🙂
Yes, your brushes! Toss the sponge tip eye shadow applicator! You’ll never create the soft look you desire using something that basically smears powder on your lid. Egad!
Why spend hundreds of dollars on great makeup only to achieve dollar store results because you’re using inferior brushes. I’m sorry babes, but it’s time to upgrade and be a big girl about the situation. It’s time to invest in good brushes!
Please allow me to introduce you to a cosmetics company that offers a beautiful line of makeup brushes worth your attention…
BEAUTE Cosmetics first caught my attention last year when I wrote about their fabulous line of glosses and cheek stains. I was immediately smitten with the unique array of shades and sleek packaging. Â In addition to offering gloss and cheek stain, BEAUTE also offers beautifully crafted, high quality makeup brushes. There are several different sets to choose from to meet your makeup application needs. Personally, I am huge fan of the Luxury Brush Set. Â
It’s my current go to set.
Â
I find that BEAUTE’s brushes not only work extremely well for my personal makeup application, they also perform well for professional use. I have used them on many professional gigs and trust me, these brushes go the distant. There are makeup brushes and then there are MAKEUP BRUSHES!  BEAUTE’s brushes are designed  with both luxury and performance in mind. They are handmade and cruelty free. The application is flawless!
If you’re in the market for a high quality set of makeup brushes, ThisThatBeauty says: TRY THIS! And to get you in the spending mood, BEAUTE has graciously offered to extend a generous 15% discount to all ThisThatBeauty readers. Â

@Fab over 40 – But I will say thats there’s nothing as luxurious in my collection…and my collection spans MANY high end brands.
@Fab over 40 – You know, Shu must be the only big brand brush I havent tried. Their lashes are divine tho 🙂
Do you think these are better or comparable to Shu brushes?
