I’ve never wanted to smell edible until Elixir Charnel Gourmand Coquin by Guerlain.
I’m not really a yummy fragrance kind of girl. That’s never been my scene. Even as a preteen, those bubblegum-y Bonnie Belle scents were wasted on the kid. And as an adult, my fragrance picks generally lean toward masculine choices. I’m an Oud, Musk, Sandalwood kind of gal. But, yoooo — Elixir Charnel Gourmand Coquin by Guerlain has a homie sprung! The oriental vanilla scent with dark chocolate tendencies is THE scent for Valentine’s Day. There is no other choice. Seriously. Buy this. Available at Nordstrom. $260
In addition to vanilla and dark chocolate, the scent features a rich accord of rum, cacao, pepper, rose and spices. So you see, it smells edible but in a very balanced and sophisticated way. I’m hooked! I think this is a perfect treat if you’re in search of a Valentine’s Day scent (but I’m also looking forward to wearing Elixir Charnel Gourmand Coquin when it warms up…these notes are going to absolutely radiate on dewy summer skin!)
