Sure — We all love gorgeous glowing makeup, sexy cocktail dresses, and killer red soled heels. But at the end of the day, true beauty comes from within. And what’s more beauty-full than helping others. Women In Need is one of New York City’s largest shelter providers for homeless families.
Just in time for the holidays, Women In Need challenged 28 celebrities, fashion designers, and Broadway stars to decorate paper maiche card houses. Icons like Mary J., Diane Von Furstenberg (my girl!), Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Justin Timberlake, Diddy, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and many others…beauty industry insiders like Bobbi Brown, Jennifer Lopez, and Halle Berry have all designed houses (see pics in post).
The finished products are out of this world! The paper maiche card houses will be auctioned off on Charitybuzz to raise money for Women In Need.
If you’d like to sneak a peek at these amazing one of a kind houses, Saks Fifth Avenue will feature the houses in their Manhattan flagship windows from November 5th – 9th.
The auction will take place starting November 9th on charitybuzz.com and will end on Monday, November 30th.
The auction will launch at an event hosted by Park Avenue Autumn on November 9th in New York City. Event co-hosts include Myla Lerner & Larry Kramer; Deborah Roberts & Al Roker; and Karin & Steve Sadove.
