As promised, I have tried Maybelline Colossal mascara and I have an opinion.
WOW! This mascara packs a pretty mean punch for less than $6.
The brush is SUPER fat and will take some getting used to if you’re not used to really big brushes (ala DiorShow, Lashblast, etc.). This mascara promises no clumps but I honestly don’t know how any mascara can make that claim. Yes, some are clumpier than others but given the very nature of what mascara is, I can’t quite imagine there’s absolutely no clumping to maneuver. You definitely need to work the brush and apply, separate, apply, separate…but honestly, this is with all mascara.
I purchased “Glam Black”, which I think should be a little darker if ya gonna go calling the color “Glam Black”. I mean, when you put it that way, I’m expecting big things…super rich deep dark eye popping black. Don’t get me wrong, the color is definitely black…just not sure I’d call it “Glam Black”. Maybe I’d just call it..uhm, lemme see…BLACK!
But overall, for $5.83 I am very impressed. Drugstore mascaras are really stepping it up. Gone are the days of NEEDING to buy high priced mascara (even tho I still remain hopelessly loyal to
