Bobbi Brown is one of my favorite brands. Yes, she’s the Queen of Neutral, but that’s alright with me because Bobbi Brown consistently delivers high quality products. While some of her collections seem a tad bit repetitive at times, they never disappoint from a quality stand point. And this is no small feat! I can easily rattle off several beauty brands that regularly drop it like its hot with collection after collection…yet the products are sub-par. Girl, PLEASE don’t make me name names 🙂
I often frequent the Bobbi Brown studio in Montclair, NJ (it’s a stone’s throw from Casa de ThisThatBeauty). I love the studio because I can play in makeup while chit-chatting with the BBrown crew about products, techniques, new releases etc.
While at the BBrown studio a few days, waiting for the manager to pull a few products for me, I stumbled upon a very interesting product that I MUST share with my ThisThatBeauty baby dolls.
When I spotted the product on the display I was immediately taken with the name “eye brightener”. I mean, who amongst us doesn’t like the look of bright eyes? I personally love that beautifully “lit from within” look that’s so popular on the red carpet.
BBTEB comes in four shades:
- Light
- Medium
- Medium to Dark
- Dark
My shade is Dark. The manager advised that Dark would work well for my complexion, a few shades lighter, and a shade or two darker.
BBTEB is just what it says, a brightener. It is not a “concealer”. If you have severe or noticeable under eye darkness, this product will not help you. For that I recommend a true under eye concealer. But if you need a little umph or brightening, try BBTEB. The result is subtle. Its not going to jump out at you like “WHAM”. Its more like “heeeey you look great”.
NOTE: If you are a concealer wearer, BBTEB is great for touch ups.

You see, just a little umph. Nothing crazy noticeable, but my look is brightened and turned up a notch.
