TTB Holiday Gift Guide: For Home and Entertaining

I spend most of my time at home either lounging, cooking or entertaining. I also leap at the chance to do all three at once. Honestly. Having said that, if you, or anyone on your gift list is anything like me, here are a few items that make the cooking, lounging, entertaining, experience fun, easy and enjoyable.

Home Fragrance

Does your home have a signature scent? If not, it should. Scent is the strongest sense tied to memory and if you keep your home smelling amazing when times are great and you are having fun, walking in after a long, stressful day and getting a whiff of home can immediately change your mood.

“Nest Bamboo 3-Wick Tin Candle has notes of white florals, sparkling citrus, and fresh green accords. Note that this oversized tin has 30% more wax than the standard sized candle from Nest Fragrances and with three wicks it can easily fill a room with fragrance.” This candle burns for about 36 hours and has a cotton wick.

Tay Nota Bene Pure Soy Candle

“Tay’s pure soy candle is infused with narcisse blanc, calabrian bergamot, oak moss and delicate pieces of cedar.” This candle burns beautifully and can last for more than 60 hours.

Kitchen

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 13 Deep Skillet

I have two versions of this Calphalon pan and I use one of them almost everytime I cook. This pan is perfect for quick one pot meals and would be a perfect gift for the “newbie chef.”

Cuisinart SmartStick Immersion Hand Mixer

During winter months I love to make soups such as split pea and creamy butternut squash. My immersion hand mixers gives my soups a great texture. The whisking attachment makes whipping up fresh cream a breeze! This is erfect gift for a seasoned cook looking to expand their range.

OXO Stainless Steel Mandoline

I don’t have this exact version but I say all the time that my mandoline is my favorite tool in the kitchen. It is a huge time saver. This OXO Mandoline “double slicing blade combines straight and serrated edges for different foods; crinkle/waffle blade cuts traditional and wide crinkles. Also features julienne and french fry cuts.” The possibilities are endless. Perfect for parents who want fun and easy ways to get kids to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Prodyne Chrome Wine Botte Pourer and Stopper Combination, Set of 2

When hanging with a few friends it is easy to go through an entire bottle of wine in one sitting. However, if you like to have a glass of wine each evening chances are you won’t get through the bottle before the taste of your wine changes for the worse. Try these “ingenious leak proof bottle pourers that include air tight bottle stoppers which fit right into them for the ultimate convenience.”

Stainless-Steel Bar Tools Set with Stand

I have had my Cocktail Shaker and Bar Tools Set since college and it still gets plenty of use today. It makes me look like I know what I’m doing, even when I’m pulling a cocktail recipe out of thin air. Pair with a cocktail shaker and coctail mixes for a perfect gift. If you are an extra awesome freind you might also consider including the booze.

Formaggio Cheese Board Set

All parties are better when there is a good cheese plate. Agree? I came across this beauty in Target and thought it was genius! I currently use a regular board and serve cheese on a plate but why not cut and serve on the same surface? I have added this item to my wish list.
