ThisThatBeauty Reviews: Spa Week Fall 2010

Spa Week Fall 2010 “the largest and most successful Spa Marketing Event in the spa industry” is currently underway.   During Spa week, day spas, medical spas and resort spas offer two to three of their most exclusive services for the unbelievable price of $50! Yes, $50 and you don’t have to jump through a bunch of hoops to partake.

If you have never been to a spa, Spa Week is a great way to get your feet wet.   If you are a spa regular, now is the time to try the new service you’ve been dying to give a whirl. Simply visit www.spaweek.com, register and find participating spas near you.

While recently attending a Spa Week media event, I was introduced to some of the event’s exclusive sponsors. The sponsors were   lovely and   offered a little something   for everyone.   Here’s my list of faves:

Bare Minerals Tutorials – Intro to Eyes

Intro to Eyes is ideal for beginners.   The tutorial includes a step by step guide to achieve an eye look that you can wear everyday. The best part, all the products needed are right in the handy dandy little box. The kit includes: Mini Prime Time Eyelid Primer, Flaunt Eye color (golden toffee glimmer), Big & Bright Eyeliner in Granite, Mini Flawless Definition Mascara in Black and Buffing Eye Brush. It took me less than five minutes to complete both eyes. My absolute favorite thing in this kit is the mascara; it does exactly what it says – defines, separates and lengthens.

No nonsense Aromatherapy liner

These shoe liners are amazing. Not only do they keep my feet dry but they also give my little piggies a lovely scent. The liners are machine washable and made from cotton, polyester and spandex and they have a “stay put” feature that prevents them from slipping off my feet. These shoe liners are like breath mint – for feet. Why didn’t I think of this!?!

Shatobu

I’m all about multitasking and Shatobu “tummy shaping, muscle toning, calorie burning, workout wear” gave me cause for pause.   I’m not sure it will help me burn calories but it smoothed me out nicely. Want to see the science behind this shaper? Go here. Shatobu gives new meaning to the term “power panties.”

Nutra Nail: Nail Growth Maximizer

According to the manufacturer, Nutra Nails Growth Maximizer offers “powerful protection and is fortified with calcium complex, protein and gelatin.”   The formula will help to grow and strengthen nails as well as prevent breakage, splits, chips and cracks. You should see results in one week and “results are guaranteed.”   I’m on day three, I’ll tweet my results.

Caswell – Massey: Revitalizing Cool Cucumber Eye Pads

These eye pads are everything! They look like cucumber slices but they are better because they contain cucumber juice, chamomile extract, glycerine, aloe vera and green tea.   They cooled and moisturized my eye area, as well as helped to reduce the puffiness. The manufacturer also suggests that they can be used to reduce dark circles. The eye pads are even more amazing when kept in the refrigerator.   Try this modern improvement on the ol’ cucumber slice trick.

Spa Week recently launched its Holiday Gift Card Sale: $79.99 for a $100 SpaWeek Gift Card. The cards are redeemable 52 weeks a year at over 1,500 spas nationwide, and they never expire….a great way to give Spa Week a whirl and save some cash!
