ThisThatBeauty Reviews: Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

True to my word, I’m back with a complete review of Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. You might recall, a several weeks back, I shared some rather eye opening research on how skin ages and what we can do to slow down the process (just a bit!). For a little refresher, click here for the blog post: Is Your Skin Acting Old? Olay Has Answers…

#WaitWhatSheIs40 — Fresh faced, me. No makeup. No filter. No soft focus blur. 100% ME at 40….

I was blown away by Olay’s claim that Olay Regenerist  Micro-Sculpting Cream  is formulated with all of the ingredients [Niacinamide (vitamin B3), peptides,  Olivem  and  Lyslastine] that have been shown in research conducted in vitro to address skin aging. I was all like: Game On! After four weeks of using Olay Regenerist  Micro-Sculpting Cream day and night (I even took it with me to St. Lucia – my 40th bday gift to myself), my skin looked ageless, perfect timing with the birthday that just passed.

I also found that this cream ACTUALLY (for real for real) sculpts facial contours! I made this discovery one day while I was Snapchatting (follow me: ThisThatBeauty) and stopped mid snap to address the facial sculpting I was experiencing via my front facing camera. Hold up! Wait…wow!!! I’ve always been somewhat suspicious of “lifting and firming” products – but I gotta tell you, Olay Regenerist  Micro-Sculpting Cream totally makes my facial contours pop. And it took chatting on Snapchat to actually notice it. It’s almost as if Olay  Regenerist  Micro-Sculpting Cream restored something I didn’t even know I needed.  And the best part? My “ageless transformation” was painless and affordable, unlike the cost of a cosmetic procedure if I had instead opted for a true “lift and tuck” (which is so not me…not now).

I’ll tell you something else – I’m going to keep using this cream because, according to Dr. Frauke Neuser, principal scientist for Olay Skin Care, “Previous research has indicated that only 20% of skin aging is internally predetermined (nature), while 80% is driven by external factors such as the environment, lifestyle, nutrition and skincare habits (nurture). So nature might give you a head start – but the power to fulfill your skin’s potential lies mostly with you and the choices you make.”

What does that tell me? Live a healthy lifestyle and use skincare products that WORK!
