ThisThatBeauty Reviews: MAC Pressed Pigment Collection

There is never a better time of the year to bring out the sparkle than New Year’s Eve.   In your clothes, your shoes, your handbags and of course your makeup!   While shimmer and sparkle are quite acceptable on any part of the face, the most versatile and (in my opinion) fun place to experiment with this medium and texture is on your eyes.   So it is aptly timed that MAC is launching its newest range of eye shadows called Pressed Pigments.   Already a cult status product, their loose pigment is a favorite of anyone looking for intense color payoff with equal reflection and frost, and with these new shadows, the concept is very much the same.   Able to be worn wet or dry for either a high gloss dramatic coverage or shimmering translucent finish, these pigments are the perfect accent to a glamorous look, perfect for ringing the New Year.   Here is a look at the entire range:

With shades that run the spectrum from pale and pearlized to dark and smoldery, my favorite stand out shades are Enlightening, a deep silver which is perfect for complimenting a smoky eye, Light Touch a high pearl powder that would be an excellent highlight shade in the inner corner of the eye as well as brow bone, and finally Sweet Acting a mid-tone pink that is a color suitable for many different skin types.

Pressed Pigments collection is now available in store and online at maccosmetics.com, and retail for $21.00
