ThisThatBeauty Reviews: Lise Watier Summer 2013 Collection, India Gold

This Lise Watier collection brings one word to mind – vacation! The eleven piece collection is carefully edited with a rich color palette heavily influenced by purple, pinks and gold. The collection, India Gold, with packaging of gold motifs, conjures beautiful, festive images of India.

Palette India – A six color combinations with colors from neutral to vibrant. The shadows are half cream, half powder and go on flawlessly. Each shade can be worn as a slight wash, or you can wet your brush and do a heavier application to bring out the vibrancy of each shade. And how about that packaging? Perfection! $42

Gloss Bollywood – Is a shiny, moisturizing gloss that delivers the right amount of purple without being overpowering. You can wear it alone or over your lipstick. It reminds me of the beautiful Afrobella — Afrobella is to the purple lip what Felicia is to the red lip (at least in my mind). $22

Duo Shadow and Glitter – The glitter in this duo is very finely milled, so, it delivers sparkle without looking like a Vegas showgirl. The champagne pearl cream makes it a easy to apply. $26

Rouge Gourmand Lipstick – (two shades: cupcake and pomme cannelle) a creamy and slightly emollient formula that delivers a low sheen finish. $21

Nail Lacquer – The shades Gulabi (pink) and Sundara ( purple) are added to the Cap light collection. With the cap light you can polish your nails while in a dungeon (not that you would ever be in a dungeon). $13

Eyebrow Fix Brow Control Gel – Big brows are all the rage right now but fear not, you can keep your big bushy brows in check with one single swipe of this brow control gel. $19

Tajmahal Powder – This is one of my favorite items in the collection because of the packaging. The glitter powder is finely milled and with one puff provides just a hint of sparkling gold dust. (I really want to take it with me on my next night out on the town and spritz it willy nilly in the club.) $29

India Blush Brush – Has a soft beveled tip that is perfect for applying blush and sculpting the face. $20

Blush on Powder – (Rose Eclate) A creamy powder blush that can be effortlessly buffed into cheeks to give a healthy pink glow. $26

India Eau de toilette Spray – Is a spicy Oriental inspired fragrance, containing, nectarine, bergamot, passion fruit, tuberose, gardenia, honeysuckle, sandalwood, white amber, and musk. I think it wears longer than other EDTs. The dry down on my skin is musky and a little sweet. This fragrance can carry you right into winter. $57
