ThisThatBeauty Reviews: Byrdie Glossybox

As a long time Glossybox fan – my favorite ones have to be where they collaborate with a blogger or beauty site and curate a box together.   I am a new reader of the site Byrdie.com, but I am already a lover of its beauty editorials, how-tos and inside scoop on the newest products.   Founded by the creators of the uber popular site WhoWhatWear, Byrdie is an online magazine that everyone should have bookmarked, and it is only right that their Glossybox reflect their fabulous taste in products and luxury.

Byrdie GlossyboxThe box is a mixture of skincare, makeup and fragrance and features some of the most popular brands around.   A full size tube of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Flashes mascara, a Bulgari Eau Parfume Au The Vert Eau De Cologne sample, a full size Shine On! Tinted lip balm, a sample of the Renu Exfoliating Gel and a deluxe sample of the highly buzzed about Fresh Beauty Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream.   Here are some of my standout favorites from the  Byrdie Glossybox.

Fresh Beauty Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face CreamBeing an admitted skincare junkie, I was super excited to try the Fresh Beauty Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream.   Designed to provide all day hydration, the Lotus Youth Preserve Cream also helps to minimize the signs of again and boost radiance.   Even though I have only just gotten to try the sample recently, I can tell you that my skin immediately drank it up – the texture felt divine and absorbed instantly into the skin.   I am looking forward to seeing how it fairs after I use the entire sample, but if it’s anything like the rest of the Fresh Beauty line, I can see a full size purchase in my future.

Tarte Light, Camera, Flashes Mascara

Tarte Lights Camera Flashes MascaraThe second stand out item in the box was the Tarte Light, Camera, Flashes Mascara – because well – look at that brush!   Drama, drama, drama!   It lengthens, curls and magnifies lashes – and with all those bristles, it grabs every. last. hair!  Because I like a complete doe-eyed look, I wore this during the day but it is suitable for either day or night.

Sesha Skin Therapy Renu Exfoliating Gel

Sesha Skin Therapy Renu Exfoliating Gel

Never one to pass up a chance to exfoliate and smooth my skin, the Sesha Skin Therapy Renu Exfoliating Gel was another hit for me from this Byrdie Glossybox.   Best applied to dry skin, this gel uses natural papaya enzyme to help exfoliate, remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.   After just one use, my skin felt smooth and looked clean and polished – results that always leave me feeling happy and victorious after using a new (to me) beauty product.
