If ever you’re in beautiful downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts, do yourself a huge beauty favor and  visit BLUSH beauty bar.

While recently en route to postcard perfect Provincetown,  I decided to make a  beauty pit stop at BLUSH. Not one to pass up a chance to experience “local” beauty, I jumped at the opportunity to check out what’s en vogue for bellas in this coastal city.

BLUSH is a wonderfully charming beauty boutique that offers cosmetics, fragrance, skin care, and makeup artist services.   Shop owner Larissa McLaughlin graciously offered ThisThatBeauty a tour of the boutique and scoop on her personal favs.

What  I love most about niche shops like BLUSH is that shop owners personally select and carry brands that they’re personally drawn to. Retail chains like Sephora are great (don’t get me wrong), but if you’ve seen one you’ve pretty much seen them all. There’s not much diversity.  BLUSH offers carefully selected products not commonly found elsewhere.
