make up for ever

MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as the key make up artist for the Dolores Cortés swim show on Friday, July 16th.  Lottie created a beautiful safari-chic make up look inspired by bohemian references of the 50’s Parisian woman, combined with acid and exotic colors from Bells Beach in Australia.  The end result was a palette of shimmering greens and golds.

Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was glowing and fresh faced.  Lottie first applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Sculpting Blush #22 to lightly highlight the cheeks.

Eyes:  The eyes were the focal point of the look.  Lottie first applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Diamond Shadow #302 in teal to the lid, and then applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Diamond Shadow #310 in a shimmering emerald green starting one quarter of the way in from the outer corner of the eye to the outer eye lid and then into the crease and lower brow bone.  Next Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #11 in gold to the inner corner of the eye lid for a metallic pop.  The eyes were lined with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L in black and the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash.

Lips:  Depending on each model’s preference for a matte or glossy nude lip, Lottie applied either MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick #502 or MAKE UP FOR EVER Glossy Full Couleur #10 to complete the look.

MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as the key make up artist for the Mara Hoffman swim show on Saturday, July 17th.  This season, Hoffman’s muse goes on a mystical journey through the jungle, visiting crystal caves, rivers, oceans; a tongue-in-cheek Amazonian tribeswoman in a bikini following her White Horse spirit guide.  Lottie took her inspiration from the bold swimwear, creating a “spacey” tribal make up look with bright accents of fuchsia and turquoise that put the focus on the eyes.

Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek.  Aqua Cream #7 in Fuchsia was applied lightly to the cheeks and blended heavily so only a slight pink flush remained.

Eyes:  To create this tribal chic make up look, Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #4 in white to the entire lid, up to the brow bone, blending it out. The eyes were defined using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L in black on the bottom lash line only, and then MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash on both the top and bottom.  Using a lip brush for added precision, Lottie drew small white dots at the top of the cheek bones starting from the outer corner of the eyes and over the blower bridge of the nose, following the natural shape of the eyes.

Lips:  Lottie applied Lipstick #502, a matte nude lipstick, to keep the focus on the eyes.

The  love of my life, James Vincent, worked his magic backstage for Ed Hardy Swim at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. Now clearly, I am not an Ed Hardy kind of girl but my love for James and MAKE UP FOR EVER compels me to report….

MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, James Vincent (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as the key make up artist for the Ed Hardy swim show on Friday, July 16th.  James created a bold black eye and strong red lip for a glamorous, old Hollywood look.

Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek.

Eyes:  To get a neutral base for the eye, James applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #156 up to the brow bone.  He then created a thick rim around the top of the eye extending to the liner beyond the outer corner of the lid using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black, and he then went on to rim the lower lash line as well.  He finished by applying two coats of MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash.

Lips:  For a gorgeous pop of red on the lips, James applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #8.

Fridays with Felicia: An intimate look behind the curtain as I share my favorite style/ beauty discoveries and ThisThatBeauty shenanigans from previous week.

The last few weeks have been (beautifully) brutal! I have been in so many airports that I recently earned the Foursquare “Jet-setter” badge…given to individuals who check into five airports. I was finally able to slow down with a lovely family vacation to Miami and then the Bahamas for a wedding. I had a blast…(see image to the right – Yep, that’s me and Senor Frog in the Bahamas. He’s feeling me…cant you tell?)

Lets kick off “Fridays with Felicia” with an awesome giveaway. After so much buzz over my recent review of Rio De Keratin (RDK) at-home Keratin Treatment, I am thrilled to partner with RDK and offer three lucky ThisThatBeauty readers the opportunity to win the at-home kit that Chrissy raved about in her review. Woot woot!

The deets are as follows…. to enter the contest, you must:

  • Follow @ThisThatBeuty and @RDKhair on Twitter
  • Leave a comment on my blog with your Twitter handle. This will serve as your contest entry. When I winner is selected I will verify that that individual is a Twitter follower of @ThisThatBeauty and @RDKhair. You will be notified via Twitter. Yay for social media!
  • You may earn additional contest entries by Tweeting and ReTweeting the following “Win @RDKhair at home Keratin treatment at www.ThisThatBeauty.com @ThisThatBeauty“.
  • There’s no limit to the number of times you may enter the contest.

This contest is open to US residents only and will run through July 18!

Speaking of hair, have you guys checked out Pantene lately? The frugalista friendly mass drugstore line recently revamped their offerings and I’ve got the scoop. had the pleasure of attending an intimate press breakfast presentation and round-table discussion on Pantene’s new launch. Celebrity Stylist for Pantene, Tippi Shorter, and Pantene Senior Scientist, Dr. Jeni Thomas walked through Pantene’s new collections and how the products cater to various hair types. I found the presentation to be especially helpful as selecting the proper products for your hair type/texture is key to achieving the best possible desired results.

Tippi and Jeni Pantene discussed the ins and outs of Pantene’s 4 new recently launched collections which are entirely based on hair structure: Fine, Medium-Thick, Curly and Color-treated.

During the event I had an opportunity to chat one-on-one with Tippi regarding my hair and get her expert advice on which Pantene line would work best for my hair. Hey, if Tippi can keep Alicia Keys’ locks gorgeous, certainly she’s more than qualified to advice lil ol me:) Here I am getting hair scoop from Tippi…

Because my hair is super dry (yet very soft, as per Tippi after giving my locks a quick touch:)) and in need of intense moisture, Tippi recommended that I shampoo with Pantene’s Relaxed and Natural shampoo because it has the highest level of moisture of all of the shampoos. However because my hair is very thick and in need of moisture, Tippi recommended that I condition with the products from the newly launched “Medium/ Thick” collection.

I was anxious to put Tippi’s recommendations to the test. While I am generally a fan of Pantene, I wasn’t extremely hopeful because my hair is currently the driest its been in years and I am about 5 weeks overdue for a relaxer touch-up…which means my coarse crinkly roots are doing serious battle with my straight relaxed ends. Not a pretty situation once wet. Yeouch!

Anyhoo, I followed Tippi’s advice and used the recommended products a few evenings later. Much to my surprise, the Relaxed and Natural shampoo and Medium Thick conditioner combo tackled my seriously dry multi textured hair. The shampoo was great at moisturizing and detangling my hair. After shampooing my hair wasn’t screaming for conditioner…you know what I mean? Sometimes after shampooing the hair feels like its going to disintegrate it doesn’t get a good conditioner, STAT. Well my hair didn’t feel that way after Relaxed and Natural…which is impressive given the fact that I am so overdue for a relaxer and have about two inches of new growth. I followed my shampoo with one of the tiny Medium Thick conditioning ampoules. I was tempted to use more than one ampoule, but wanted to follow the exact directions for an accurate review on ThisThatBeauty.

A few tips for Tippi — Follow product directions exactly! How many of us are guilty of leaving hair products on (especially conditioners) for longer than the directions require. Tippi encourages you follow directions as outlined. Mant times we think we’re getting extra benefits by using more product or leaving it on longer. Tippi says that products are formulated and tested to be effective in a certain amount of time. I applied Tippi’s advise and used the Pantene products as directed…and loved the results! Thanks Pantene and Tippi!

If you follow my tom-foolery via Twiiter you know that the girl loves vino. During the summer months I tend to favor refreshing whites….and sparkling wines are particularly favored. While in Miami I tried a really yummy sparkling wine that I am compelled to share. Mumm Napa Cuvee M is a wonderful semi sweet sparkling white wine. It is describes as: Elegant Light peach rose. Elegant aromas. Rich and complex. Fresh white and yellow stone fruits with subtle hints of wild strawberry. Heady touch of fresh brioche, with hints of vanilla and honey. Flavors of peach and pear combine with a creamy caramel character, on a long, satisfying finish.

Since it Lebron season its only fitting that I feature a Miami-centric event. MAKE UP FOR EVER, the official makeup sponsor for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim, is hosting  “Smudge-Proof Your Make Up” at Sephora South Beach (July 17 from 4-7pm). At the event customers can get their makeup done for FREE before heading out for a night on the town. Please feel free to share this event with your friends in the South Florida area (Clumps of Mascara, I’m looking at you:)).

Try out MAKE UP FOR EVER’s brand new Aqua Cream, a collection of 21 multi-use cream colors for the eyes, lips or cheeks that are 100% waterproof, sweat-proof, melt-proof and crease-proof. Aqua Cream is being used on the models backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. Stay tuned for daily makeup looks from the runway!

Speaking of  smudge proof makeup…how is your makeup holding up in this heatwave? While I love the finish of cream foundation, I must admit that its hard to reach for on a 100+ degree day. Lately I’ve been keeping my complexion balanced with Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Powder. The product is called 4-in1 because it is a foundation, concealer, powder and SPF 15 all in one. The pressed formulation is perfect for the consumer who enjoys the benefits of mineral but hates the loose mineral mess.

Here’s an application tip: If you apply your pressed powder and feel that the coverage is too matte, give you face a light mist of hydration with Fulvic Mineral Mist. This is a great way to refresh the skin and set your coverage.

As you guys know from last week’s Friday’s with Felicia, I was recently in LA working on a very exciting project with Cover Girl. I also had the opportunity to do makeup for five performing artists (who are also Cover Girl spokeswomen) who appeared live on stage with Queen Latifah at the BET Awards. In the coming weeks I will share additional details on the Cover Girl project which includes a very cool web-series that I am apart of — I do makeup for the women and give them beauty tips along the way. For now, here are a few shots of me and my Cover Girls after I glam’d them up for the red carpet and their on camera appearance with Queen Latifah at the BET Awards:

This one’s for my Twilight fans. *squeal* Actress Julia Jones, one of the newest additions to the Twilight cast, looked stunning at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in LA. mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg shares her expert beauty tips on how to recreate Julia’s red carpet look.

“I started by using mark Mist Opportunity Multi-tasking Refresher to prep the face and applied mark For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion all over Julia’s skin. Next, I added a touch of mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Golden under the eye area and mark Get A Tint Tinted Moisturizer Lotion SPF 15 Honey/Golden to even out her complexion. To give her a naturally radiant look, I dusted mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder everywhere except for her cheeks. To really emphasize her cheeks, I used a combination of mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Cheeky and Peachy and then lightly swept mark Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Amped Up to the apples of her cheeks.”

“I began by prepping her eyelids with the mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Medium/Dark to create a strong base for her eye makeup. I then applied a combination of three mark I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadows to her eyes. I swept Magic across her lids, blended Latte into the crease and added Whisper under the brow bone. To add definition to her eyes, I applied the black shade of mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner and Eyeshadow in Entourage to her top lash line and used the gold shade of mark Keep It Going Longwear Eyeliner and Eyeshadow in Iconic along the lower lash line. I finished her eyes with one coat of mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara in Blacklash for thickness and a second coat of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black to lengthen and hold her lashes for the night.”

“I prepped Julia’s lips with mark Kiss Dry Goodbye Lip Smoother. To get her bold lip, I applied mark Kissink Lip Tintmarker in Red Siren topped with mark Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain in Lolli”

As much as I love makeup, you all know that skincare is number one for me! While my daily regiment currently includes products from several different lines, I can respect the customer who prefers to keep it simple and use a comprehensive collection of products from the same line. When I learned of Dr. Harold Lancer, Beverly Hills dermatologist, and his line of skincare products, I had to share. The Lancer Method is Dr Lancer’s three-step skincare technique.  The Lancer Method follows the guiding principle that skincare does not have to be complicated to be effective. With a simple, daily 3-step program, the LANCERx products offer the efficacy of medical grade ingredients to quickly improve fine lines, texture, discoloration and pore size.

Step 1: Exfoliate – The Lancer RX Polish is an advanced exfoliator, removing dull, dead skin cells and leaving the skin noticeably smoother and more radiant. The natural sea minerals immediately energize the skin without causing redness (even for people with rosacea) and prepare it for effective cleansing.

Step 2:  Cleanse – Once the skin is rid of debris it is ready to be cleansed. The Lancer RX Cleanser washes away impurities & environmental toxins while bringing a uniform freshness to the skin.
Step 3: Repair – After the skin has been polished and prepped it is time for repair. The Lancer RX AM/PM Nourishing Treatment increases firmness, diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles and nourishes the skin with essential botanical extracts and powerful antioxidants.

The three step kit includes your choice of Extremely Pure Cleanser or Exfoliating Blemish Cleanser, Natural Sea Mineral Polish or Blemish Control Polish, and AM/PM Nourishing Treatment. And if celebrity endorsements float your boat, I hear the breathtakingly beautiful Keri Hilson is a fan of Lancer Rx

The only thing better than a great a party is a great party with a purpose. And year after year, my dear friend Melky Jean (baby sis of Wyclef Jean) does just that. Her annual birthday party/ charity gala is legendary. I was recently invited to attend Melky’s party/ fundraiser for her non-profit, Carma Foundation – an organization whose mission is to improve the health of poor and vulnerable women and children in Haiti. Melky has been doing amazing work in her homeland of Haiti. I am honored to support her foundation’s efforts. Here are a few pics from the charity event.

Have a beauty-full weekend!

My dear friend, Celeb Makeup Artist and MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE member James Vincent recently recreated Joan Jett’s sultry make up look for the New York premiere of “The Runaways”.

Keeping with her rock n’ roll roots, Joan wore a classic yet modern smoky eye. James used MAKE UP FOR EVER products to create Joan’s smoking hot red carpet look. Of the look, James says this:

“the perfect Joan Jett eye takes subtlety, persistence and an understanding of what’s sexy.”

Below, my dearest James shares with ThisThatBeauty a breakdown of how to get your Joan Jett on. I suggest you hustle your tail into your local Sephora, gather a few MAKE UP FOR EVER products, and recreate the look for your next night out. Its a classic look that exudes subtle sex appeal!

Complexion: James kept the skin glowing and gorgeous with Make Up For Ever HD Elixir to add moisture to and perfect the skin. He then applied a small amount of Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation #117, which provided a great canvas, as well as the new HD Invisible Cover Concealer for light, luminous, natural coverage, and a touch of HD Microfinish Powder to keep Joan looking polished all night.

Eyes: “The eyes are Joan’s most famous feature and she knows exactly what she wants to do to draw attention but still keep the look modern and fashionable,” says Vincent. Start with Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow #35 from brow to lash to create the perfect base. Next, sweep Make Up For Ever Diamond Powder #11 gets across the brow bone for a beautiful highlight, and Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow #13 to bring depth to the crease. Use the same shadow to line the top and bottom lashes for soft diffusion of the liner, which gives depth and drama and keeps the hard-edged liner look smoky and sexy.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L is the perfect black pencil to apply inside the eye and along the top and bottom lash lines. Then, apply a bit of Aqua Eyes #2L to add a rich, brown warmth to the look and keep it from looking hard and typical. Smudge the pencil and set with MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #139 for even more smokiness that works for every occasion. Lashes get extra attention with a liberal coating of MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash. And James says, “put the lash curler down and let the lashes stay straight and spiky for rock chick realness.”

Cheeks: Joan’s classic cheekbones are the type you wish you were born with, but can easily fake by contouring right below the bone from temple to apple with MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #13. Keep blush natural by avoiding strong color. Just use a touch of Powder Blush #69 on the apple and Matte Bronze #2 at the highest point of the cheek bone give life and light to the makeup and balance off the strong eye.

Lips: MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Lip pencil #3C gives every girl the ability to keep their lips looking luscious without worrying about where it’s going to end up. A touch of MAKE UP FOR EVER Fascinating Lip Gloss #9 in the center of the mouth completes the look and lets everyone know you love rock n’ roll as much as Joan.

Here I am, using the aforementioned products, and giving my best Joan Jett. Am I even close? Leave a comment :)

It’s been a while since I’ve done a good old-fashioned Face Of The Day post, so I figure I’ll jump back into the saddle with a Celebrity Face of The Day look.

I was recently asked to join the glam squad of WNBA Legend, Kym Hampton. As Kym’s Makeup Artist and Wardrobe Stylist, my job is to prep Kym‘s makeup and wardrobe for public appearances.

In addition to being a phenomenal athlete, Kym has an amazing voice. She recently sang the national anthem for a Liberty vs. Mystics game…and I did her makeup!

Here’s the look I created for Kym (ignore me peeking over Kym’s shoulder :)

Here are the products used —

  • Embroylisse Lait Crème Concentre
  • Iman Under Cover Agent Oil Control Primer (Shouts to Kelly Epps/ The MakeupLoft for turning me on to this product)

  • Cinema Secrets Foundation in 200-02 (same shade as Ms ThisThatBeautyJ)
  • NARS The Multiple in Maui/ Palm Beach (I used both shades)

So what do you think of Kym’s look?
She loved it…said it felt pretty and polished, yet not overdone:)

A crease-free concealer. No, really!

The magicians over at Make Up For Ever (MUFE) have done it again! The latest MUFE product to give me a case of the “OMG’s” is HD Invisible Cover Concealer. This amazingly crease-free (yes, crease-free) concealer is the newest addition to the MUFE family of HD Complexion products.

ThisThatBeauty is a long time fan of MUFE….with Smoky Lash being my MUFE first love:)

Don’t you just hate the appearance of obvious concealer?Well MUFE HD Invisible Concealer satisfies every woman’s desire for a natural looking concealer that does not enhance fine lines and wrinkles.

As someone with minimal under eye darkness, I normally use concealer as an under eye brightener, and not necessarily to conceal darkness. I sometimes find that many under eye concealers bring out lines that didn’t exist and make my under eye area look dried out and old. Yuck. Not cute and totally unexceptable for Ms ThisThatBeauty.

MUFE HD Invisible Coverage Concealer covers darkness and brightens without settling into fine lines. The coverage is completely natural looking on skin.

Check out the key ingredients that make this product so amazing:

  • Extremely highly concentrated pigments wrapped in amino acids that not only appear invisible on skin but stay atop the outer layer of skin, rather than sinking into pores.
  • Sericite Mica reflects and refracts light to give a soft focus effect to the delicate skin under the eyes.
  • Fucogel is used to boost skin’s hydration by repairing the balance of water and retaining moisture though out the day.
  • Silicone Elastomeric Powder gently fills in lines and wrinkles to create a smooth under eye surface.

MUFE HD Invisible Cover Concealer is is conveniently packaged in a portable tube with a built in applicator made of a soft flexible silicone tip for precise application.

I love that MUFE HD Invisible Cover Concealer comes in 14 shades that range from the lightest to the deepest. When I envision my friends and clients, I cant think of a single person that would not fall into the shade range.

Lightest shade –
305 Porcelain

(for light skin with deep pink undertones)

Deepest shade  –
370 Ebony

(for dark skin with dark beige undertones)

Available exclusively at Make Up For Ever Boutique NYC,  Sephora and Sephora.com.

While at The LA Makeup Show I was very fortunate to be invited to the MAKE UP FOR EVER Press Roundtable with Celebrity Makeup Artist Sharon Gault.

Yes, Sharon Gault! She has worked with Britney Spears and Madonna and has recently designed the music video looks for pop stars Solange Knowles and Keri Hilson. During the Press Roundtable, Sharon (who is wonderfully effervescent and engaging) spoke to her application technique in recent videos for Solange Knowles and Keri Hilson.

For Keri Hilson, Sharon used MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Foundation all over Keri’s body…not just the face. As a makeup artist “the entire body is your responsibility”, said Sharon.

For Solange’s “I Decided” video Sharon custom created all of the lashes. The lashes from the disco era were particularly impressive. Sharon shared that the look required the use of fourteen pairs of lashes. Holy moly!

Fret not. You too can have lashes as lovely as Solange Knowles and Keri Hilson. Check out MAKE UP FOR EVER’s ridiculously extensive lash selection at Sephora.com.

While at The LA Makeup Show I had the opportunity to take part in a special Blogger’s Roundtable with MAKE UP FOR EVER and Kevin Bennett.

The topic of the day was “HD Makeup”. As you all know, MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Foundation is my current go-to HD foundation. It applies flawlessly and is virtually undetectable. I recently wore it for a TV appearance and the talk show host actually thought I was bare faced. That’s the ultimate foundation compliment!

According to Kevin, HD is the best thing that has ever happened to consumer makeup. He referred to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s HD Foundation as “gorgeous skin in a bottle” and said it basically eliminates the need for airbrushing (for beauty). Because everything in the foundation is round and has no edges, the application is extremely flawless and virtually undetectable. Kevin also spoke to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s line of products that complement the foundation – MAKE UP FOR EVER Primer and HD Powder.

The primers act as a pre-makeup base and come in a variety of formulas designed to prep the skin and address a multitude of issues.

HD Powder is completely colorless and made of 100% silica beads. This one colorless powder is great for all complexions, particularly dark skin because it goes on translucent. HD Powder completely eliminates the need for makeup artists to carry around different shades of setting powder.

MAKE UP FOR EVER is an incredibly progressive makeup company. They deliver high quality cosmetics that are Holy Grail go-to products for both professionals and everyday women.

During the Blogger’s Roundtable, Kevin gave a sneak preview of two new MAKE UP FOR EVER products. More to come. I promise!

I love what I do. Truly!
One of my greatest beauty blogging joys is getting up close and personal with the brains behind the brands. Over the last year we’ve chatted with the brains behind amazing brands like Make Up For Ever, Three Custom Color Specialists, Cosmoholic, Shiny Mama, and many wonderful others.
Today we’re going behind the scenes
        with BEAUTE COSMETICS.

Beau Nelson is the Creative Director for BEAUTE Cosmetics Inc…and guess what? Beau’s talking to ThisThatBeauty and giving us a peek inside the brand.
Beau, welcome to ThisThatBeauty! Thanks so much for talking with us. Let’s jump right in. Does BEAUTE Cosmetics fill a void in the beauty industry?

        Beau for BEAUTE:

We definitely believe that Beauté fills a void in the cosmetics industry. We have literally worked with a majority of lines out there, and quite a few of them in-depth. We see that a lot of lines have one or two products that stand out, and others rely primarily on packaging to sell. We wanted to create a brand that not only had beautiful luxurious packaging, but also make every single product we put out on the market unique, special and perfect. Our quality of product and packaging standards set us apart.

What led you to create your line of lip gloss and a dual purpose gel stain for lips and cheeks?

        Beau for BEAUTE:
There were other stain products on the market before ours came out however all of them were liquid they were very hard to blend or they were gels that were not very pigmented. They were usually only available in a very limited selection of shades, usually red. We wanted something that was high pigment but also easily blend-able and long lasting. Women want something easy that they don’t have to think about. Its so easy to put on your cheeks and lips and then forget about it for the day, it literally stays on for hours.

You also offer makeup brushes. Are there plans to expand your line and branch out beyond glosses and stains?

        Beau for BEAUTE:

Yes, eventually Beauté will be full range of color products, right now we are working on developing our lines of eye shadow, blush, foundation, light reflecting concealers, creme blush, hilighters and powders. Perfection is a process.

Is there a lip color and/ or stain that you feel is universally flattering? Why?

        Beau for BEAUTE:
Heroine Luminous Volume Gloss is pretty universal because its what We call a “Your lips but better” shade that enhances the natural lipcolor. All of the stains work on every color of skin, even very dark ones because the pigments are so pure and there is no titanium dioxide to make things go ashy on dark skin.

What’s the one product that flies off the shelves? What can’t women get enough of?

        Beau for BEAUTE:

Right now everyone seems to be loving Flouron stain, it looks neon orange in the bottle but is actually fluorescent pink, which blends down into a vibrant but super wearable shade for cheeks and lips. We love topping it with Girlie Show Luminous Volume Gloss which is pale pink. The two together make this gorgeous petal pink shade that looks so fresh and pretty.

Beau, thank you so much for your time. I love your glosses and stains. Check me out working it below :-)
In this picture I am wearing Luminous Volume Gloss in Urge,
a beautiful sheer reddish tone that works beautifully on brown skin. Kudos BEAUTE!

In this picture I am wearing Luminous Volume Gloss in Paramour. Its a really cool pink mod lip color.

Here I am wearing Liqui-Gel Stain for Cheeks and Lips in Harlot on my cheeks and lips. I love the richness of the pigment. And unlike most stains, its not some generic shade of red…but a very beautiful berry tone that is incredibly flattering.

And in these pictures, I decided to layer Liqui-Gel Stain for Cheeks and Lips in Flouroun over Liqui-Gel Stain for Cheeks and Lips in Harlot. The result…pure ski bunny cheeks. AND I LOVE IT!!!

I highly recommend giving the glosses and stains a try. The colors are simply yummy and work beautifully on a variety of skin tones.

Check out BEAUTE Cosmetics…I doubt you will be disappointed. You’ll be rosy and all aglow…just like me :-)

            Happy Snow Day folks –

Brrrr…..How’s everyone holding up in this snow?
Most of us have been confined to our homes all day due to the inclimate weather.  In Jersey, by 11AM, we had already accumulated a couple inches of snow.  So for most of us, business us usual was stalled and a Snow Day commenced.
For yours truly, a Snow Day means idle hands. What to do? What to do? What’s a silly makeup loving girl to do with sooo much time on my hands?…Hmmmm, any suggestions????
Uhhh, Duh….play in makeup of course!
Well alright! That’s exactly what I did.
Behold today’s FACE OF THE DAY.
