Inspiration: Like Rebecca Minkoff’s S/S 2014 runway hair inspiration, Naeem Khan and Hershberger were inspired by Frida Kahlo’s braids  for the  Naeem Khan Spring 2014 Collection.  Unlike Rebecca Minkoff’s, these were smooth, sleek and classic. (Read: less flyaways)

A few extensions never hurt nobody

Pro Tips:  For daily care, it’s important to use a daily treatment like Hyper Hydration Super Keratin Spray  which protects against damage and split ends so the hair can grow long.  For styling, what’s key is to thicken the hair and add texture to hold the braid. Spray Plump Up Thickening Spray through damp hair – the collagen bulks up the hair. For added texture, you can add a mousse or dry shampoo. To finish off the look and smooth down any flyaways, use Major Body Volumizing Style Boost.

Nails

Manicurist: Michelle Saunders for  Essie

The Scoop:  Naeem Khan wanted a classic red nail, and Michelle Saunders delivered with A–List, a personal favorite of hers. Not only does it works with the variety of reds in the collection, but it looks great on every complexion. On toes? Sugar Daddy, an elegant and  fresh pink.

Pro Tip: Want to lengthen your legs? Choose a light color for your toes, as it    extends legs even further.

Makeup

Makeup Artist: James Boehmer for NARS

Inspiration: The starting point was Frida Kahlo, but they didn’t want the makeup to be a literal interpretation. Instead, eyes were softly defined yet translucent and the lips were the focal point with a faded and diffused berry shade.

Pro Tip: When going for a stained lip, add some sheen. This makes it a little fresher and more vibrant than a matte stain.
