We are days away from the official start of sweater weather, which for me is the bat signal that it’s time to wear layers and layers of makeup and experiment with different makeup looks. I recently received some Dior Beauty and here’s just some of the makeup I’ll be wearing and experimenting with this fall.
1. Vibrant Color Powder Blush
This blush is formulated to blend with your skin and can give a nice light flush or built up to create a sculpted cheek that is oh-so-hot this fall. My favorite shade for this season is Lady Red.
2. Transatlantique 5 Couleurs’ Eyeshadow Palette
Blue eye shadow is one of my favorites to wear no matter the season and Atlantique has everything for the blue lover. You can go from subtle to intense all from this one palette and a little help from a navy blue or black liner.
3. ‘Colour Icons – Vernis’ Gel Shine & Long Wear Nail Lacquer
Night Shock is blackish to charcoal gray, depending on the light. It goes on with ease and can cover my super long nails in 2 to 3 strokes. It is marketed as having glass like gel shine and long wear and I get a week chip free when paired with my favorite top coat.
4. Transatlantique – Vernis’ Nail Enamel & Couture Stickers Duo
Captain gives you the option of using a transparent CD nail sticker over your bright red polish or wearing polish alone. For an edited toned down look, try just using the sticker on an accent nail and get a salon quality manicure at home.
5. and 6.Rouge Dior’ Lipstick
If there is one thing you have to wear for fall it is a dark lip. However, if you are like me and just getting into the darker shades it can be a bit shocking. I don’t want to look like a vampire bride but i want something dark and Pied de Poule 977, is a great place to start. ‘Colour Icons – Rouge Dior’ Lipstick in Tout Paris 742 is just a great red to have all year round. It’s moisturizing and delivers a rich creamy color payoff.
7. Diorshow Iconic Mascara
The brush on this mascara helps to define every single lash making them appear longer and fuller. It also promises to curl lashes but depended on your lash, that may not be as visible. Diorshow Iconic Mascara is available in Black, Chestnut and Navy Blue. Going navy blue with the Atlantique might be overkill but i just might do it. Who gon’ stop me?
8. Diorskin’ Star Studio Foundation
I was actually surprised at the shade range for this foundation, it has 14. The brightening foundation is inspired by the professional illuminating techniques of Dior makeup artists and uses silica beads to capture and diffuse light. Color-filter pigments help to neutralize color imbalances and anti light-trapping skincare ingredients help to reduce the appearance of dark areas, pigment spots and redness. The end result is weightless buildable formula that gives a great finish and wear. My shade of Diorskin Star Studio Foundation is 07, Dark Brown and there is still a darker shade, 08 Ebony.
