New York Fashion Week: Makeup for Milly Spring Summer 2014 Collection

Designer:    Milly Spring Summer 2014

Makeup Artist: Romy Soleimani for BEAUTY.COM  using  Kevyn Aucoin

THE DESIGNER’S INSPIRATION:

Michelle Smith constructed an ultramodern interpretation of traditionally feminine silhouettes with the use of three-dimensional technical fabrics, layered transparency and architectural illusions. She was inspired by perforated facades found in contemporary Japanese architecture during a recent trip to Tokyo.

THE MAKEUP LOOK INSPIRATION:  To compliment the ultramodern Milly SS14 collection, Romy Soleimani for Beauty.com created a young, feminine look with a blurred, yet strong orangey-red lip.  Using Kevyn Aucoin, Soleimani went for quenched skin using The Sensual Skin Tinted Balm and a pop of color on the lip, using The Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Cerise.  For an extra punch, Soleimani also dabbed on The Pure Powder Glow Blush in Fira on top of lined lips.

To have clear even complexion next Spring, start focusing on skincare now.  This  post  and this  post  are great places to start if you are looking for a new skincare regimen. As always, don’t forget to wear SPF 30 everyday, no matter what the weather is like.  See this post for some great SPF options.
