Mani of the Week: Featuring Pure Ice

As of today it is 7 days to my birthday and I am actively shopping for my birthday Manicure. (Yes, it’s kind of a big deal.) When I saw Deja Vu from Pure Ice it immediately became a contender to adorn my digits. Deja Vu is a royal blue shimmer polish that has great staying power, especially when paired with the Bottom Line, a base coat, and Girl on the Run, a fast drying top coat.

Bottom Line and Girl on the Run are part of the Pure Ice Salon Station Collection, launching January 2014. Here’s the complete collection:

  • Bottom Line Base Coat: This strengthening and protective base coat smoothes the nails surface, fills ridges and masks imperfections.
  • Girl On The Run Quick Dry Formula: This fast acting complex sets nail color quickly creating a protective surface to prevent chipping and locks in vibrant color– perfect for the girl-on-the-go!
  • Buh-Bye Breakups Nail Protector: Encourages healthy nail growth, making nails look noticeably longer and stronger in just a few weeks. Can be used as a base or top coat.
  • One Stop Shop 3-in-1 Top Coat: Works as a base coat, top coat and strengthen in one! The fast drying formula eliminates chipping and maximizes lasting color.

Now to my birthday mani contender:

Shown above is my Pure Ice mani done with base coat, two coats of Deja Vu and a layer of topcoat. The polish went on smoothly and I wore it for 7 days and it only showed a little wear on the tips of my nails. There was absolutely no chipping. I will definitely be using the polishes from Pure Ice Salon Station with other manicures.

All Pure Ice nail polishes are “3 free,” that is, they are formulated without formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. Polishes retail for $1.99 and are available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

  • That mani looks incredible! I have a Pure Ice blue shade that I haven’t used in awhile because I was unsure whether they were at least “3 free.” But I’m a little confused by what you posted: are they formulated with or without those chemicals? Thanks!
