I am the newbie who (up to now) has broken all of the skin care rules…and my skin has paid for it. I have washed my face with Ivory, random body washes, and even hand soaps from the dollar store. Terrible, I know!

In my quest to develop a skincare regime that actually works for my skin, I am thrilled to write for ThisThatBeauty and review products that are appropriate for newbies like myself.

And so my quest begins with L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Exfoliating Scrub. The particles are very fine, which made me wonder if it would work – after all, my once-a-week-no-frills exfoliant is much grittier. (My logic [bad logic] = If I can’t actually feel the particles scraping my face, it can’t possibly work?)

Before I could obsess over exfoliant particle dimensions, I was pleasantly surprised by the scent – it is light, fresh, and does not smell like weird candy. I loved this feature! I carefully followed the instructions: “Pop Out. Pour On. Go Clean.” The cleanser features the first ever Scrublet cleansing tool that reaches deep into pores to remove dirt and oil. After a good washing, the over-scrubber in me   still felt the need to take a washcloth and do a bit of extra scrubbing before that glamorous “splash of water” rinse they do in the commercials (wink).

Next up is L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Cleanser (for Sensitive Skin). The light minty scent is refreshing and leaves a pleasant icy feeling on the skin. It is guaranteed to wake you up!

Summary: After using both products, I am happy to report that my skin is doing really well. The peeling that I used to experience is no longer present. My oily t-zone has calmed down. My skin has transitioned from dull to bright…so the product’s claim of “enhanced luminosity” is spot on.

Verdict: For $6.99, the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean family is quite affordable and effective for skin care newbies! The Go 360 Clean line offers four formulas to meet the needs of all skin types. ThisThatBeauty Newbie approved!
