So your girl’s been debating a major hair cut.
Lately I’ve been dreaming of chopping my beyond shoulder length hair into a funky elevated bob, possibly with bangs. There are a few things keeping me from making the commitment. The main thing is that I don’t have a beautician who can execute this. My current beautician is great at hair care, trims, and occasional bangs….but I want something uber funky. So having said that, I haven’t taken the plunge.

But recently on the weekends and for going out, I have started rocking a look that satisfies my urge to “bob”. I call her my “fob”…Yes, “fob”…”Sounds just like “bob”.
“Fob” stands for faux bob. Get it, “fob”.

Fob is really easy to create. She can be created with either straight or curly hair. Last week I attended a formal gala for work and rocked my “fob”…she was amazing. Last week’s “fob” was sorta curly, which was a lot of fun for a formal event.
To create “fob”, simply add a part where you want it to be. Your choices are center, off center, slanted, whatev….Then loosely pull the hair back like a very loose pony tail. Then, using one of those really long bobby pins, create one big rolled under pin curl in the back. Then secure with the bobby pin. Lastly pull out a few long pieces at the sides. And VOILA, you have a “fob”.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback.
I’ve since gone much darker….soft black is what the bottle says. LOL. I also have bangs now. So my urge to chop has been side lined…til the spring *evil laugh*

In fact you’re actually making me consider a copy even though I promised myself I would never again cut my hair shorter than 2 inches at a time.
So classically elegant and pixy at the same time.
