Happy Thanksgiving: Beauty Bloggers for Good

On this Thanksgiving, I wish you the warmth of family and the love of those closest to you. Before the craziness that is “Black Friday” approaches, take a moment to be thankful for all that you have….because even if you miss out on the MAC’s Pink Friday Nicki Manaj lipstick, you’re still one fortunate chica!

I’ll start: I am incredibly thankful for the love and support of my family. I have a loving husband, mother, grandmothers, and more than a handful of special aunts, uncles, and cousins who all live within a few miles of my home…which means I can get a home-cooked meal at pretty much a moment’s notice. Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law, I have two beautiful nieces…as well as many nieces and nephews from my husband’s side. I have wonderful in-laws who are super duper funny and supportive and have become my dear friends. Speaking of friends, I have some of THE BEST girlfriends ever…you ladies out there who are all…”I can’t stand women, I don’t have women friends”…IMHO, you are missing out on some incredible sisterhood (I may have just lost a few readers with that one, but I have to keep it real!) I have a roof over my head…that we own, might I add! This lil ol Beauty Girl from Newark, New Jersey is truly blessed!

A fellow Beauty Blogger, Shannon Nelson, reached out to a bunch of us to coordinate “Beauty Bloggers for Good”. Here’s what the project involves:

• A big empty box
• Unused samples/beauty products
• A commitment to put said samples into said empty box
• Donate the overflowing box to your local domestic violence shelter by Nov. 24
• Write a blog post set to publish on November 25th
• Link to all of the other Beauty Bloggers who are participating

And away we go….

Here is my box, overflowing with beauty products. Today I will give out the products as I serve food to the homeless in Military Park in Newark, NJ.
