Fall Makeup Trendspotting 2010: Chanel

For his latest collection, Les Contrastes, global creative director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Philips, pays tribute to the brand’s Joues Contraste blusher, with eyes and lips made to match, achieving “perfect harmony”. Soft smoky greys make the eyes are the focal point. The collection also features shimmering pigments of khaki and violet for the eyes. Dark, expertly groomed brows contrast against the luminous rosy complexion. Nude, glossy lips complete the look. Meet the collection:

  • Joues Contraste: Chanel’s classic powder blush is available in three new shades: Pink Explosion, a fresh rosy tint; Plum Attraction, a black cherry shade; and limited-edition Rose Temptation, a tender rosewood
  • Les 4 Ombres: This new quad palette, entitled Enigma, combines warm tones of deep violet and metallic grey with grey brown and pale pink
  • Ombre Essentielle: Two new eyeshadows in Taupe Grisé, a gunmetal grey, and Vert Khaki, a golden green
