Facebook Live: New Year, New Skincare Routine

We are already at the close of the first month of 2017 and for me, it can’t go fast enough.  The fever dream that has been every day since 45 won the presidency and took office shows no sign of breaking.  While I have had a few stress related breakouts as a result, I have still managed to keep my skin looking relatively decent. Politicians might have a say  in how I get insured, what is covered and my right to choose, but they most certainly can’t dictate how clear, radiant and otherwise flawless my skin can be.  With that said, here’s what popping in this week’s Facebook Live.

  • My skin is oily – and this Texas heat in the summer doesn’t help things. But I am VERY interested in the Mario Badescu Anti-Aging Line. I”m part of the 40+ club and want to up the radiance of my skin.

  • I have extremely oily skin. For my daily routine, it varies depending on how my skin is reacting to certain products or if I’m stressed out at the time. I just a cleanser from Biore that detoxifies the skin; tone with witch hazel; use Nip + Fab glycolic fix serum; and neutrogena oily free moisturizer.

  • Combination Skin Type (Oily and Dry) —- I am dealing with acne and hyperpigmentation at a mature age, and I also try to use antiaging products. I make sure to cleanse well, tone and moisturize after makeup removal every evening. Weekly steam facials, exfoliation and hydration via sheet masks are my current routine as of late.

  • My skin can be oily or dry depending on the season. Right now it feels dry so I’m using LaRoche Posay’s new Toleriane line for dry skin.

  • Thank you for having such a Great give away!!! I have oil/dry skin. Keep up the Great work and thank you for sharing your expertise on skin care.

  • Typically I have a combo skin. However in the winter months I tend to get totally dry. I use black soap, Origins moisturizer, rose water, and Oil of Olay eye cream. Have a fantastic day!

  • This year I realized that I’ve been returning to old favorites in my skincare routine. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m still very much a skin care junkie and want to try everything! My current re-discovered fave is sea buckthorn oil! My face drinks it up! 3 drops and I’m good. Btw.. u guys should look into trying skincare products from Deciem. I haven’t tried them yet, but they’re on my list.

  • I have combo/oily skin. Currently I use a face wash, toner, essence water, moisturizer and eye cream. Wouldnliat the exact items but I’m wayyyy too much of a product junkie (thanks to blogs like yours lol) to list them all!!

  • I have combination skin but lately my 42 yr old face wants to behave like a 15 year old and it’s breaking out. Sadly my routine is washing my face with Neutrogena , putting on a sunscreen moisturizer from Neutrogena and that’s it. Probably explains why my skin is acting the way it is.

  • My skin is combination and now in my mid 30’s I realize my skin is changing. Currently I am using First Aid Beauty and Dermovia Lace Your Face.

  • Christene:

I can’t wait to try Wet n Wild Megalast Hard as Ice Top Coat when I see it in store. Previous Wet n Wild Megalast top coats were wonderful so I’m glad they rereleased them.

If you’re interested, L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Serum Intense Daily Treatment is a dupe for Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate.

  • I have combination skin. I started taking care of my skin a little over a year and even though currently I’m not consistent, when I am, my skin looks so much different. My current goal is to make sure I cleanse during the morning and night, and make sure I moisturize and use spf. Baby steps

  • I’m an oily girl. I cleanse twice a day. I make sure I use my retinol products and SPF daily. I’ve added some vitamin C to the rotation. I get lazy with weekly masks and scrubs but I’m trying to be consistent since I do notice a difference in my skin when I use them.

  • Did I not leave a comment? Let me tell you trying to multitask at work and listen to all of your beauty secrets was no easy feat. I want to thank you ladies for sharing all of your valuable skincare secrets. Oh and this year guess who’s joining the 40 club! YAAAAS!!!!

  • Loved the information in your Facebook live. I have oily skin so the information is going to help me with my new routine.
