I looked out my window this morning and there was fresh snow on the ground. I know it’s still winter but I simply was not prepared. After my usual morning shenanigans I remembered I had the Essie Spring 2016 Collection and my mood was instantly lifted. Yes, nail polish can do that.
Not only does the Essie Spring 2016 Collection reflect the colors and fun vibe of the tropics but with names like Sunshine State of Mind and Poolside Service, one can’t help but think warm thoughts — a much needed distraction in 30 degree temps. The 6 piece collection is inspired by the home of the Golden Girls, Florida and “strikes a balance between fashion forward and retro glamour.”

- High Class Affair – amorous blush nude
- Lounge Lover – pretty pink peach
- Sunshine State of Mind – blazing coral tangelo
- Poolside Service – crisp cerulean blue
- Off Tropic – lush grove green
- Shades On – mysterious cool violet
While I wanted to simultaneous wear all shades, I was drawn to Off Tropic — possibly because I’ve been wearing light colors for the last 6 weeks.
