TTB Green Beauty: Nourish – Organic Food for Healthy Skin

Nourish – Organic Food for Healthy Skin.

Nourish, manufactured by Sensible Organics, is made in one of the first beauty care facilities ever to receive the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Certification. The entire Nourish collection is manufactured with nutrient-rich USDA certified organic fruits, vegetables and plant extracts. Product  scents are made of exclusive blends of 100 percent USDA certified organic essential oils and extracts.  The result, for me, is very natural, gentle and soothing scent that lingers on skin after use, without being overpowering.

My Absolute Must Haves:

Deodorant & Body Butter in Wild Berry

Nourish Deodorant 5 Flavors (Scent)

Nourish Deodorant

I have a mild allergy to propylene glycol and every other natural deodorant that I have tried uses propylene glycol as a base, so,  I was very pleased to see that Nourish deodorant is formulated without it. The deodorant is a blend of “naturally deodorizing cornstarch and vegetable protein, soothing Shea and cocoa butters, beeswax, and coconut oil.” It took a while for me to get used to the non-drying feeling that came with using this all natural formula but I have to say I am truly loving it so far.  I am using the unscented version which has an ever so slight smell of coconut that is only detected when I put my nose directly into my armpits — a wonderful visual, I am sure. To put this deodorant to the test I went two days without a shower (don’t judge me, this is all research) the deodorant held up exceptionally well. The real test of this deodorant will be during the hot summer months when I am faced with back to back 90 degree days and sweatier armpits. Even if  the Nourish deodorant doesn’t hold up in 90 degree weather, it is good to get a break from my regular deodorant that is loaded with ingredients I cannot pronounce.

Nourish Butters – 5 Flavors (Scents)

Nourish Body Butter

The body butters are what I call “true butters” because they don’t contain water or water like substances.  The butters are made from 100% organic butters and oils. I find that the best way to use the butter is to massage into skin immediately after a shower or bath — while skin is still a little damp.

Other products in the Nourish line include body lotion, body wash, exfoliating body wash and hand wash. All products are certified organic and contain between 95% to 100% organic ingredients. All Nourish products adhere to the Sensible Organics Pledge “no parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or preservatives, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, edta, or aluminum.”

Sensible Organics aims to get organic, wholesome products in the hands of everyone, as such, all products are under $10. If you visit the Nourish website you can buy in multiples and save up to 30%.

Nourish products are available at Wholefoods Market Nationwide and on the company’s website.
